I love that the actress who played the sorority house mother is the same actress who played Phyl in the original Black Christmas. I absolutely love this movie, I don't understand the hate. It's camp, it's gory, and it's a super fun time!
It’s not suddenly considered “camp” just because it’s not scary lol. It’s just bad filmmaking. When someone intends to make you laugh then it’s camp, not when everything going on is so ridiculous that you’re laughing at the absurdity...

@Coco Tyler lol yes. that movie 'Karen' that came out last year? HORRIBLE. 🤣 as I said before though, the laughing we as the audience were doing was unintentional. the filmmaker THOUGHT they were making a good thriller with "deep" commentary on race relations in society. it wasn't satire, wasn't spoof, it was just..... bad lol.
The hate is because it's a bad movie. Simple as that, it can be fun for some but objectively it's a bad film. What's not to understand? Lol.

Eating in an autopsy room, by the way, is pretty common in movies. The first we see of Vinnie Jones in "Gone in 60 Seconds" is him taking a bite of a sandwich and then setting it down on a corpse.

This is one of my guilty pleasure movies. I never understood why people always said this movie was terrible lol. I think it’s a fun watch for a horror movie. Of course it’s not a masterpiece film but I think it’s a wild, fun movie imo 🤷🏻♂️ I’m happy that in the past few years, it’s found a fanbase tho.

Something I noticed, in this version Lauren's death is offscreen, you don't see her getting the glass unicorn through in the eyes. Too bad, that's a great scene. The rest looks the same, though. Love this remake, so much fun!

I can't believe that the actress playing the older sister coming in to town is actually the same actress that played the teacher Ms. Lewton from the first Final Destination movie.
To give some backstory to this movie:
This movie was made by Glen Morgan (director, writer, producer) and James Wong (producer) who aimed to make a more stylized but still suspenseful take on the original movie. However Harvey and Bob Weinstein (ugh) the films executives who thought the film wasn't modern enough forced reshoots on the movie that upped the shock value, on top of completely changing the ending. Some of these reshoots Morgan only found out about through Mary Elizabeth Winstead and despite being furious about it, he stayed in order to protect the cast and crew, despite believing that by staying it would kill his film career.
Unfortunately for Glen Morgan he was completely right because he hasn't worked on a movie since. The negative reviews and box office failure sunk any future of him being a film director.

I genuinely liked this movie, the kills are as creative as they are ridiculously disgusting, the cast is amazing, and the cinematography is genuinely very impressive and beautiful. Valentine's Day is coming up... and there is an underrated Valentine slasher film called Valentine. It stars Denise Richards, Katherine Heigl, David Boreanaz, and Marley Shelton. It's in that 90's slasher/whodunnit/Scream wheelhouse. You should check it out!!
NOTHING beats the ORIGINAL Canadian Black Christmas from 1976. It doesn't need the graphic violence to send shivers up and down your spine. Would highly recommend watching the OG as well. Merry Christmas from Canada :)

This movie has developed its own cult following through the years. It’s campy, fun, gory, and an all around good time. It doesn’t take itself too seriously and the sets are actually really well designed and capture that vintage Christmas feel.

Truly a sick and demented remake that I personally prefer over the original. The backstory was the idea for the original but they never used it. We can respect the legacy of the original but I grew up with this movie. ZZZAVID would definitely agree. Your videos made this year sm fun every time your videos popped up it’s always a delight💙.

Honestly this movie is SO entertaining. But I always feel sick to my stomach watching it, for the gore and the whole Billy story is seriously disturbed

YES! I've been waiting for you to do this one forever!!!! This made my night when I saw you did this! This movie is one of my all time favorite movies in general! What a cast! The atmosphere is incredible! The camera shots are so creative! Yes the story is crazy but that's just part of its charm. The director Glen Morgan isn't happy with the final result as the Weinstein Brothers stepped in and made all these crazy changes he wasn't happy at ALL. But in the end, the movie has found its fan-base and there are quite a few of us who watch it every year. I love everything about it. So thank you for finally doing this one! Don't even bother with the 2019 remake... it was legit TERRIBLE. But Merry Christmas girl! You've become my favorite reactor to watch!
