This is our homeland. There is really a deep sense of spirituality high up in the mountains. That's why our elders are trying hard to educate the younger generation about our culture, tradition, and sense of camaraderie.
Once again, the drone views of the Cordilleras are just spectacular!!!🤯 Another great vlog in Mountain Province! You might say those boys are Filipino "frogmen." 🐸
I grew up in Bontoc 50's and 60's and the place has changed immensely; just imagine across the samoki bridge of chico river, thier were no homes except a gatekeeper house. The gatekeeper controls traffic between parts of the road where roads are narrow or one way traffic. Homes across the river was only the village of samoki tucked on the base of the mountain. So besides the gatekeeper house, it's ricefields, green during planting or golden ricefields just before rice harvest seasons. The man carrying green plants are most likely sunflower stalks. Back then when pig pens were common site in backyards, we also use pig manure for organic fertilizer same us sunflowers. In the town proper, rarely do you see three story buildings; now mostly three stories or more. Did you know, there was a big fire in the town proper; several buildings and families were affected; I think April 11th a few days after the lang-ay festival. Missing the old Bontoc! Enjoy your travels in the Cordilleras.

Whoever made that giant eagle sculpture sure captured the power and majesty of such powerful bird-of-prey. It might also serve as a reminder that the Philippines is one of the landmasses where the apex predator is a bird. Imagine if that sculpture suddenly starts moving though haha. It'd be like the giant eagles from Lord of the Rings.
Very inspiring mountain province/rice terraces vlog❤️I never tried frog yet, they said its so delicious 😋Thank you for sharing #BecomingFilipino😘Be safe🙏🇨🇦
Thank you again Kulas for visiting Mt. Province..we Igorots appreciate how you passionately describe our region..always keep safe...matago tago ka Kulas!!!

Brings back memories, we lived at the San Roque compound at Natonin near the convent back when I was in elementary when we promoting a Karate Dojo there.
Hello Kulas! Nice to know you are adventuring Cordillera again. We see the beauty of Kenon Road and Cordillera Region. Try to adventure Malico Road. Vloggers says higher pick, more coller than Baguio. RUclips search Malico Road. San Nicolas to Nueva Viscaja, you will see its beauty.
Rice wine/lempeh or tapuy is also produced on that place Natonin..just asked at Poblacion Market or the Stores along the road sir..That guy is only shy to say yes..Anyway its nice to see you in Natonin
Your videos show the beauty of the Philippines to all the world which is amazing. In all respect though, I believe in your journey of "Becoming Filipino," the familiarity of the Tagalog language should also be one of your objectives since it is spoken more widely than Bisaya. Just a friendly advice. Power on Kulas.
I'm living in the Philippines since the day I was born, but unfortunately, I never been there before. I'm 24years old and still studying as Civil Engineering stud. Hoping someday, I could visit those places. Thanks Kulas for showing, such an honor to see someone appreciate Philippines beauty, especially a foreign guy like you ❤ Mabuhay ka Kulas, keep safe lods! ❤❤❤
Miss some of your vlog man been busy for sometimes take care. Be safe god bless.. Former gnob hemedez.. bong hemedez. Soy hemedez. Joarn hemedez. Arnaldo Hemedez aj hemedez.. Still full support man
Although mountainous far areas, folks there have nicer communities & pretty much live decently than other rural areas in the Philippines that I had seen.
hard labour in the mountains, impressive but saddest reality the farmers work the hardest and yet earn the smallest. they feed the whole country but they're the least compensated.
Instead of fertilizer the better word is compost. Like any dead vegetation, you can use it to revitalize the soil. Also a good use for kitchen/food waste. Grind it up and scatter and turn it in for your plants.
