- I DROVE TO BAGUIO!
It was super hot down in Tarlac and Pangasinan, so I drove up to Baguio using Kennon Road. This was the first time I have had the chance to experience this road that weaves its way in-between mountains up to the Cordilleras. After meeting some people along the way I found myself back up in Baguio. Walking around looking for a hoodie... I stumbled upon a unique Filipino snack called "Binatog".
How did I never try this before? My first time trying Binatog... and I would seriously eat it everyday!
Back up in the mountains of the Philippines. Baguio is always a great place to be!

I got the opportunity to go to Baguio with my husband and his family 40 years ago, a lot of US /Japanese military history here ,There was also the Camp John Hay Military recreation base as well
I love all the positive vibes in every video man! I’m out here in the Bay Area spreading the vibes as well!! Much love!!! Love all your videos!!!
This is what I love about you Kulas. You explore places (specially those that not touristy) other vloggers do not.
My fiancé and I loved Baguio. It was the only place in the Philippines where I was comfortable with the weather.
The aerial drone shot of the mountains & communities so stunning and majestic 😱❤️ Have a safe travels Kulas🙏
Most visitors visiting Baguio City does not usually know how to enjoy their stay there. They thought that using their private cars for transportation from one place to another is the most convenient way, but actually it is by WALKING. From the main plaza, you can just walk to mines view park, to country club, to camp john hay, and other tourist spots. I recommend visitors to just try walking and you will enjoy more of your stay in the city.
Wakling Baguio is AWESOME
😊
😊
😊
Power on. The videos always give great vibes.
Baguio is one of my favorite city because of the weather. The jams from mountain maid are the best, specially the ube jam; and of course the fresh strawberries. 👍🏽 Thank you and Power On!
Thank you for stopping by my hometown Capas.
Oh my hometown..i misss this place soo much..hope to be back next year
That sauce is called TAGILO or BURONG NASI made of fermented rice. Sometimes with fish such as tilapia, martinico and others fermented together. My family love that sauce, EXCEPT me. They say I'm not a True Blue Kapampangan, my mother is from Concepcion, Tarlac and my father is from Bacolor, Pampanga yet I couldn't eat that concoction. Maybe one day. 😂
Oh you're back in the Cordilleras!!! Nice! BTW, happy birthday Kulas! God bless!😄🥰😊
My favorite place in the Philippines, the Cordilleras! 💚
Hey Kulas, What you ate is called Buro. It’s sautéed fermented rice and seafood (Fish or shrimp) that is eaten with egg plant and best served with fried/grilled Fish. It’s similar to baba ganoush in texture and acidity and is used as a condiment. Safe travels.
How nice to see you far north Kulas...I hope you can reach as far as here in Ilocos Sur...and visit Vigan City...hope to see ypu Kulas

I live less than an hour fr Baguio, you passed in my home place in Artacho.
FYI, friend, binatog in english is hominy.👍. Thank you, Kyle, for showing us these places, even most Filipinos have not been to.
Why didn’t you show more of Angeles City? It’s one of the more important cities of the Philippines historically. I was born and raised there so I’m probably biased. The first Philippine Independence Day was celebrated there in 1899!
Wow,I should have meet you there, visit Mt,Ugo,surely you will enjoy.Enjoy and stay safe Sir Kyle /Kulas!Have a nice day🥰
wow when you shown the lechon. I bought all my Baguio sausages from that lady. Spent about 2000 peso at her stand.
oh I miss buro. that's what I think that side dish is. good with gulay.
you back to my town hope you try pinikpikan...
I’m originally from Buffalo NY 🇺🇸 so Baguio is probably the only place the Philippines that’s comfortable to me 😆 My definite destination for my next trip! 🧳 ✈️ 🇵🇭
The 60-70 degree weather is just perfect!!! You don’t like the humidity/heat huh?
tagaytay city also
Bukidnon in Mindanao and Batanes up North 😅
@@yayo4nasal opo, I utterly despise heat and humidity lol 🥵 😩 I lived in Florida for 27 long years, that was enough!
I’m from Baguio, currently living in Rochester NY… you are very right, if you don’t like humidity, go to Baguio City. I call it the Adirondacks of the Philippines. 😅
I was just there for 3 days and 2 nights. And I must say I am really captivated by Baguio.
Baguio is definitely my next trip destination, looks amazing 🤩
I miss you kulas😆 its been a while di nakanood vlogs mo,.keep safe always fighting!!!!!!!
Woow i suggest next trip you to go to DAgupan City Pangasinan to celebrate the Bangus Festival April 29-30 ...
Stop by Dagupan City Home of the BANGUS since you like BANGUS just hours away from Baguio
Kulas pag amping perme. Greetings from Cebu City
You are great. From Toril, Davao city.
Before the TPLex was built, we have to drive past most of the busy towns and cities of Pampanga, Tarlac, Pangasinan before reaching the base at Rosario in La Union, tricycles are a real problem then, but @ TPLex it's smooth drive and less hours...going up Baguio is like adrenalin pumping in your veins until you are tempted to open your windows for that cool breeze and pine tree smell, Camp John Hay is a fave area...
Oh yes thats one of my favorite food (binatog😊) when i was in Baguio year 2002~2007...we always bought binatog to kuya ❤❤❤
Be safe always❤🙏
Pozorrubio, my hometown, Kulas. Where that extraordinary sungka my Mom have at our home.
11:47 Evaporated Milk? Or "Evaporated Creamer" Made Of Vegetable Oil?
Awesome video Kulas
You need sunglasses to look at your hoodie top.😎🤣
I see this guy last week in mountain road, while I ride in jeepney by hanging going Baguio 😊
Good thing you were so close to Baguio so you could flee the heat, Kulas. We can see how bad it is from the expression on your face as you're on the road leaving Tarlac City.🥵 I don't think I can ever remember a time when I've seen the heat affect you like it did this time. Ingat! Keep hydrated, and keep warm while you're in Baguio.🥶
Try to explore going to malico falls san nicolas pangasinan super ganda ng byaheng bundok,, ❤❤❤Take care
the best sewsewen, with the bengus, omg
my father is from Baguio and my mom is from Pangasinan...would love to do that ride on a scooter some day. those roads and highways have come a long way, ... I remember riding up to Baguio on a bus with a goat on top when there was only zig zag road and no highway
that was BURO. We kapampangans called it TAGILO. IT'S usually sawsawan for pritong isda and talbos kamote, nilagang ampalaya, sitaw, okra, talong. but don't eat to much because it's contents rich in uric acid.
@becomingfilipino, you could have drive up tp mt. sto tomas to get a nice view from the mountains. u can even see from there the airstrip and a breathtaking view of the city
Hey kulas, next time you visit north try to go Baliuag in Bulacan. Stay safe❤❤❤
Perfect time to visit Baguio ❤
July will go up for 3days, our first since 2013.
Try to visit Arcas Yard Cafe.❤❤❤ Few minutes drive from Botanical Garden.
That sauce you had is called Buro it is a fermented rice. Enjoy some kapampangan dishes.
5:18 kulas its called ginisang buro
it is a fermented rice and fish or prawn
Good to see you visit there again. No traffic tickets this time 👍😂
definitely not going up sessions rd on a scooter haha
yup... Kennon Road is a lot more scenic than the new highway... it takes you closer between the mountains... and the new expressway from Metro Manila is awesome, but i miss the old highway which you took... and it is wider now... it used to be just a 2 lane road with lots of tricycles, so the trip took really really long...
Kyle you were eating “buro”, a kapampangan specialty usually eaten with any type of boiled vegetables. One of my favorites.
Buro means fermented, i think ☺
@@richardsonvillanueva6345 it does, we usually ferment with rice and baby tilapia. Can’t remember last time I had this, 20+ years maybe, but I can still remember the taste.
We call that “buro” or burong isda or shrimp fermented with rice. Buro means fermented. Manyaman! (Delicious in Capampangan)
🎉 always great vibes
I hope you try to visit vigan baler aurora zambales pangasinan ilocos norte to see the sand dunes and the giant wind mill
OmG! U r in my hometown!
Kulas it's a white sand,it came from Mt Pinatubo, during Pinatubo eruption
My favorite Binatog,i'm a suki of that man seling binatog right beside Maharlika bldg.,his binatog is really yummy..Enjoy Baguio Kulas, especially our perfect weather..🙃
ahhhhhhh i been to that bridge in Tarlac last February. My relative's house is closed to that bridge.
Salute to you...
Try the oh my gulay/vocas restaurant, ili likha for coffee
U're right Kulas, the sawsawan with talong is buro (fermented rice and fish). Power on💪!
BURO is a fermented fish and rice which is a perfect combo for inihaw na dalag or fried dalag.
Burong kanin or fermented rice is best with lettuce wrap
Hi, Kulas! Power on!!👍👍😊😊
One day at a time.
Welcome to the North Kulas Ingat ka! Apir🤗
