Beautiful build. Always nice when paint doesn't bleed. Thanks for sharing

Yes, underbleed or paint rip off are the main troubles I tend to have when I mask.. luckily none of that happened, this time! :)

Beautiful kit you made! Believe it or not, I visited a cold war Soviet submarine like this but it was a Foxtrot class submarine. It's a museum and it was birthed next to the Queen Mary in Long Beach, California. The interior was very cramp like the old World War Two submarines of the past. Take care.

Thank you... I tried to get inside a Swedish WWII era submarine outside a museum in Sweden many years ago, but it felt too claustrophobic and I had to get out. One of my cousins did his national service on a Swedish submarine, I would never have managed that..

I thought I sent you a HobbyBoss submarine? ;) Either way, I still treasure the Lexington, although it is currently very safely packed away, while I have a different display out to look at. I like to change over, every now and again..

@@BasicModelling Don't really know the manufacture, just assumed the same from the scale, but what does a layman know about models? LOL

@@NauticalPappyStu Yes, there are many brands and many scales.. but 1/350 seems quite popular for submarines and other Navy vessels.. :)

Great to see you building a submarine, especially such an obscure one, to me at least. I admit i know next to nothing about subs, and even less when it comes to the cold war era. Very interesting work mate :)

Thank you... my intention originally was to build this, set in a sea scape diorama, showing the infamous 'Whiskey on the rocks' incident in the south of Sweden in 1981, when a Russian Whiskey submarine got stuck on a rock, well inside Swedish territorial waters and very close to a large Swedish navy base. Caused a wee bit of friction with Russia, that did.. but alas, I will get another kit and build that scene separately, I think. First time I've built a kit by Micro-Mir, but it was a fun experience.. :)

Wish you a nice weekend. Greetings, Joachim

Nice work indeed! It looks as simple as beautiful, save for all those tiny photo-etched details. Maybe a submarine kit is not that hard after all. Did I have room at home for navy stuff, I´d try one of these submarines, which happen to be of the kind I like the most.
