So enjoyed you sharing your treasures and stories about your favorite items. I too had my grandsons when they were small play with anything they wanted. I always looked for multiples in everything from marbles, dominos, blocks, and buttons so they could play with the items. On more than one occasion when I was changing a diaper, I would find a stray button or two. Such good memories of how much they enjoyed playing with Grandma's treasures.

Your style is the very same as our style. My husband and I have been collecting what we love to decorate our home with now for almost 50 years. We still have the old mirror we found at our first sale! Also, an antique wheel chair from the civil war. Both pieces are amazing and have just become a part of our family: it’s just us!!
We still collect and thrift together to up cycle and resell in our little store in Michigan.
Sometimes pieces just “talk” to you wanting to go home and be a part of your life. Then, the time comes and it’s time to pass it on to another family.
May God bless you and your family as you “hunt” for the just right pieces to be a part of your decor♥️

Janelle from Indiana here! I am enjoying your videos so much! It has been fun to see that some items from Indiana have made their way to Arkansas. You showed a picnic basket from Peru, Indiana. That is a city near me. I sell tons of picnic baskets that look just like it in my booth!Today, I saw a James Whitcomb Riley book in your video. He is probably the most famous author from Indiana. We have toured his house in Indianapolis. He lived next door to Johnny Gruelle, the creator of Raggedy Ann and Andy. Your poetry book probably has a famous poem from Indiana called the Raggedy Man. Your videos are inspirational to me, and I have already incorporated some of your ideas in my booth.

Thank you for sharing your home and collections! I love the church bulletin board. It looks like the one in my childhood church, a Georgia Methodist Church. It really brought back some childhood memories. I wonder if it's still in the church. It's actually still active even though there's probably only 5 to 10 people that attended. It was and is one of a three Church charge which has one preacher for three churches, they had to juggle the different services!

Your story about the ladder brought back a funny memory for me - about 25 years ago, I bought a pair of old, small (child size) Windsor chairs at an antique fest here in Central Florida - I thought they were just perfect - 4 or 5 chipped colors showing through - in some parts down to the bare wood - I can’t honestly remember how much they were - $65 sticks in my mind, but I don’t know if that was for the pair or each, but I had to have them - the first time my mom & stepfather came to my home after I had bought them, my stepfather looked at them in disbelief and said “you actually PAID MONEY for those ??? They’re ready to go to the dump !” LOL Well, I guess as the years went on, he got more accustomed to the look because one day, about 8 years ago, I bought a black iron headboard and painted it chippy cream color and rust effects with the black showing through & he actually complimented me on it ! Sadly, both he & my mom are gone now so thank you for triggering those memories for me ! By the way, I still have those chairs in a little grouping with a big eucalyptus arrangement in my foyer & if I were dashing out of the house burning down, I would grab them ! Enjoyed your video & stories ! ☺️

Great collection, love your finds. 💕
I just subscribed for you. 😁 You are so right, it takes time to hunt for treasures that suit your own personality and style. You never know what you will find.
Funnily enough I live in Germany now. I go to as many flea markets, or village held flea markets, thrift shops, etc, I can get to in the summer months. I picked up an original oil painting with an old frame which I fell in love with at a village flea market. I paid 10 euros for it. I think the dollar to euro is 1 to 1 at the moment, so it would be 10 dollars. 😊 I mean really, how could I leave it?? 😂 Lol. The lady had all the beautiful paintings leaned up against her wooden fence outside, with a wonderful collection of German pottery. I got 2 pieces too which I love.
I came to Germany in 2019, and stayed. Life is weird. I arrived with my suitcase so I had to start my life all over again and almost everything I own is thrifted. I buy what I love and everything brings me joy after a few tragic events in my life. Thanks for sharing, best wishes 💖

A museum can often tell you the people who refurbish paintings in the area.

Maybe you could contact a museum who would put you in contact with someone who could clean your painting.

Gene Brantley in Harrison Arkansas at The Gallery can probably clean that painting for you.
