    I am an Iranian who lived in USA for about 40 years. Although, I like US, specially where I live (Laguna Beach) and raised two kids but I am planning to move to Mexico City and retired in the most beautiful city in the world. Why? because of the great Mexican people, nice weather, amazing food and to listen to Jose Jose in a beautiful Mexican cafe.

    We LOVE Mexico, too! We fell in love with Mexico about 25 yrs ago. We are from Canada, and come back, yearly, because of the loving, kind Mexican people & the warm weather is a bonus! The Mexican people always seem very happy (& many Mexicans have so much less than Canadians!!). Love their culture, and that Family & Faith is so important. Thanks for sharing this message with us🌎😘

    What an incredible story! I loved learning about you and how you transitioned from SA to Mexico. However, I must disagree about not being judged in Mexico for your economic position. Mexico is a very classist country and you're looked down for the way you dress, the house you live in and where your children go to school to. Classism in Mexio is rampant, especially in the central states. However I appreciate your positive outlook and hope more people were like you. Congratulations on your wonderful channel and keep up the good work!

    • @ForTheRoadTravels
      @ForTheRoadTravels  11 месяцев назад +3

      Hey Roger 🤗🤗 Thank you - it really has been quite a journey 😅 Oh I totally get what you're saying, I definitely have noticed classism here 🥲 And specifically in the south of Mexico, classism and racism seem to go hand in hand, which was very saddening for me to discover 🙃😔 However, if I were to directly compare Mexico to South Africa, the level of classism here versus there is nothing. It's completely normal to see the streets filled with luxury cars, and see people living in homes far bigger than anything I've seen in Mexico 🫠 And if you don't have those things in SA, especially by the age of 30, people are going to feel very sorry for you 🤨 Either way, we all get to choose our friends and if someone is going to judge you based on your car/home/clothes, they're not going to make the cut 🙌🙌

    In Mexico, for us the family is more important, not the materialistic things. If we can get them fine if not is the same. Us Mexicans we being through hell since our country became independent. Mexico had suffered invasions from other nations, pillage not just from other nations but also from corrupted anti patriotic regímenes. Everything started changing since 2018 until now, brand new infraestructure in many cities, railroads, airports, refineries, hospitals, etc. We have work to do specially in security, right now our goal is to reform our judicial system and reform our Supreme Court that is rothen in corruption. After these, Mexico would become a world power.

    It depends where you grew up in South Africa. South Africa has traditions too. I, too grew up and educated in South Africa but I have to disagree to what your opinions are of South Africa. Maybe it's a generational gap.

      Hey Jeanne 🙂 Yep, I totally agree, it completely depends on where you grow up in South African. I think I mentioned in the video that I grew up in Johannesburg and my experience of living there was very Westernised. We're all entitled to our own opinions and we all experience things differently based on our conditioning and home environment, so I can see why you have a completely different view of South African than what I do 🫶

    I think it's messed up that Americans can't go nowhere in the world without a big headache. But yet everybody and their mother in the world can come to America for free or nothing whether it's legal or illegal and still stay in the country. America's just very sad right now

      As two citizens of developing countries, we feel that your opinion is a bit out of touch 🧐 You may want to check-out a website called passportindex .org - you may find that your US passport is very strong and allows access to plenty countries without restrictions or visa requirements 🫶

      @@ForTheRoadTravels you're missing the whole point people, can come here and do whatever they want.. and Americans put up with the BS. See the Americans can't go all over the country and do what they do, here that's just a fact. I'm not worried about no passport for no Visa no s*** like that .I'm being real.
