Even though he's not a character properly speaking, I would have included Jake Rogers. Multiple counts of blackmail, and the way he treated Connie pretty much screams 'sociopath'.
Yeah, Jake's a good pick. The twist of that game is that all the characters have done something wrong, which is why they're all plausible culprits. But except for Jake, I wouldn't consider any of them to belong on this list.
And Hal. Poor guy. The game doesn't really say it, but honestly, the way that he acts make it sound like he has depression due to how overworked, stressed, and guilty he is, and Jake didn't care. I think his treatment of Hal is almost as bad as how he treats Connie, plus the game heavily implies that Jake was racist towards Hal. Hulk and Daryl were involved with legit serious crimes, but Hal copied an essay. Not a good thing to do, but nowhere near as bad as messing around with drugs. I don't think we know enough about Jake to say if he's a sociopath or not, but he was certainly disturbingly sadistic.
Such a great point - honestly I relate to Hal in so many ways, because I was a studious and isolated kid in high school who was bullied a lot for a number of reasons (racism being one way, I'm a Caucasian/Asian/Native American mix). Granted I never copied an essay or was blackmailed for anything, but kids treated me a lot like how Jake seemed to treat his victims, especially Hal. Your point about him being overworked and having seemingly clinical depression really hits home because I've since been diagnosed with clinical depression and was very overworked between going to a very high-pressure school (academically) while trying to take care of my struggling family at the time. I think it's inspirational that none of the "official" suspects committed the crime, because they all had such strong motives - especially Hal and Connie. The fact that he didn't snap that hard and then was able to remain composed enough to not show relief after having Jake gone shows just how strong of a young man he really is.
@@AznGoth19 such a good point about your last point. We joke about how little the kids cared about Jake's death, but really, Hulk and Connie are the only ones who are flippant about Jake's murder and are openly glad he's dead. Daryl is mostly ambivalent, but despite all the terrible stuff Jake put him through, Hal actually treats Jake's murder as a very solemn, bad thing that not even Jake deserved. Major props to Hal, he's probably the most emotionally mature person in the cast.
I think Izzy strikes a nerve with a lot of people because they can relate to being targeted by people like her. I encountered my fair share of mean girls in elementary school and junior high. It was pretty easy for them to take advantage of me because I’m autistic.
I COMPLETELY agree with Topham being on this list- I HATE him for how he causes so much pain to Emily and Jim who are struggling while he’s getting high off the money he’s manipulating people into giving him, the fake psychic stuff also pisses me off. Great video!
I would love to see your list of favorite allies in the series. The suspects that you maybe really had it out for at the start and suddenly became your biggest help in the mystery. Ryan, Falcone, Grigor, etc. Or maybe people who were framed like Lou, Katie, or Ryan again
Another reason Simone is evil: she craves beef franks at 7 am. Who in their right minds wants a hot dog at 7 in the morning!? But seriously great list. I LOVE these analysis videos 😊
Great video! I think Topham should’ve been considered the culprit; Nancy knew from the start that he had forged Josiah’s will and she spent the whole game trying to prove it, and it was only in the last minute of the game that the whole Jane Willoughby thing distracted her. 🙃 Although I guess it could be argued that the primary mystery was finding out what was upsetting Emily and who stole her mother’s jewelry, and Jane did that. 🤷♀️
I was actually going to say the same thing myself - quite honestly, for that reason I think CLK could arguably be the first game with multiple culprits. Jane (really Marion) and Richard were both responsible for half of the crimes in the game, though the ending definitely focused on Marion.
@@AznGoth19 Come to think of it, I'd really like to see a game in the future where there truly is more than one culprit. That would certainly throw us all for a loop! (Assuming we get any more games, that is.)

There are at least some games (Crystal Skull?) where Nancy does get sick if she pigs out too much.
Yes I love that you think that Izzy is the one who framed Mel for plagiarism! I think that having Izzy be the one who framed Mel is much more interesting than having Corine frame her. For one, how would Corine even know Jacob? (is that the boyfriend's name? I don't remember 😅) and two, I like to think that even in her determination to find the Poe manuscript/become valedictorian and willingness to kill/traumatize her classmates, Corine wouldn't attack Mel/frame her for something, because she was the one girl who stood up for her. It makes Corine more interesting, at least. Fingers crossed Izzy didn't become the valedictorian. And it really is...interesting(?) that with the exception of Nicholas (and even then he's done some questionable things in the name of protesting) everyone in Final Scene is kinda guilty of something, or otherwise hinders Nancy trying to find Maya. Most characters in that game are awful people, and their blatant disregard for Maya's life really is appalling. Brady smiling as he condemns the theatre with Maya in it on Day 3 is really chilling. Even the police don't care that much (my personal headcanon of this is because of Missing White Woman Syndrome, but that's just me). It does make the stakes seem much higher in that game. Probably why it's in my top five. Good stuff. Mysteries where all of the suspects are terrible people make solving the mystery more exciting and really make you think, "okay which one of you is awful enough to commit the crime?" It really does make you see how terrible Brady and Simone are when Joseph seems a lot more humane compared to them.
Lots of excellent points here! I definitely agree with Simone and Toni being the most evil non-culprits (that I can think of off the top of my head anyway). I'm really not sure which one I would rank as #1. Toni was more than happy to let Nancy take the fall and face prosecution, even with full knowledge that she was innocent. But at the same time, Simone was practically emotionally abusive - the funeral wreath was horrid! I was happy with the fact that she was reprimanded for it in the end! I also would've liked to have learned more about the plagiarist subplot in WAC. I do have a feeling it was likely Izzy, though Leela and Corine are also possibilities - Mel did get a second black cat note right before it happened. I always had a feeling that Corine and Izzy were more suspicious than Leela - but I'm not sure which one. The fact that Jacob seemed to have framed her does point to Izzy or Leela, but perhaps Corine sent him instructions through text or e-mail pretending to be one of them? I wish we had answers for it to know for sure!
Also something else I literally just thought of - since Corine is revealed to have the password for Izzy's computer, could that be a clue that she hacked Izzy's computer and e-mailed Jacob? I never even thought of that until just now!
Love your analysis videos!I love how you break things down. I'm sure there has to be at least one more truly evil side character, but I can't think of any. I'd love a video on side crooks, everyone who was scheming in the background but not the culprit, evil or not.

I'm basically okay with your picks and criteria, although boundaries of their evil should figure in there somewhere. For instance, I'll accept your definition that Izzy is evil, within the parameters of the story (one-upping fellow students and general narcisism). On the other hand, even if she never broke the law in her life, she probably didn't grow up to be a very nice or happy person. Is Brady evil? Well, judging by your criteria "Cruel and Evil deeds", not exactly. He's more callous and uncaring. It's his non-deeds and non-feeling that make him evil. There are a lot of people like that who are completely ruthless, but pride themselves on the fact that they haven't and wouldn't actually break the law. They feel that as long as they aren't THAT evil that they aren't evil at all. I assume Jane Penvyllyn isn't on the list because she's a minor. But I'd probably give at least an Honorable Mention to Samantha Quick, who seems to be a fairly big time criminal. Ditto for Enrico. But not Tino. He's in way over his head, but he's not a bad guy.
