- CLASSIC GEAR ALERT!! This time the well loved WJMX10 from Panasonic. It looks like kit from Knight Rider. I go through this big beast step by step, and talk about some of the others in the MX series as well as why I think this mixer is seriously under rated.

I remember playing with one of these that my dad had when I was wee. I wonder what happened to it. The effects and mixing options on this one seem realll useful. Subbed.

I got so lucky I bought one off a chap outta Canada and I swear the thing is NIB mint. Put it thru it’s paces, werks perfect, with shipping under $100. Now I’m debating if I should open it up and perform a lil surgery. Prob not this one. Love ur videos buddy keep up the good werk...

i have both a wjmx-50 and an MX70, the former being barely more capable than this here. i love them both dearly!
you mean the AGMX-70? its pretty capable, huge, heavy and its hard to find the 3dfx cards, but I think it has a lot of possibilities. Probably not in a live setting bcos there are lots of better mixers in terms of functionality vs size.
@@catfullofghosts4478 yeah i dont think there is a 70 in any other line so the AG is a bit cumbersome for me. i love using it for camera and internal feedback, out in the real world i find myself recording stuff and using it canned instead of being able to make it happen live which is fine, but i love to do it in real time and react to whats happening in the room with it

love the video, just wondering how you keep your minidv camera running with out it doing auto sleep and turning off, it doesnt look like its in recording mode. cheers
this one just does, i dont even have a tape in it, maybe there was a setting i changed at some point in the past
Hello, thank you for this great presentation! Is it possible to connect a DVD player to it that would have an RCA output?
yes, you would just need a DVD player that has composite video out (yellow rca) and an RCA to BNC adapter, to connect to the mixer
Was just looking at these on ebay last week, could only find broken ones from germany :^(
Broken or just untested? I see them listed as untested from time to time. But yes 30 years old at this point, they are not always up on ebay.

like a lot of old gear, they only come up on the big sites from time to time, give services like gumtree in AUS/NZ or craigslist in other countries. Some of the people who have old mixers don't know what they really are, and don't make much effort when the sell them, they just chuck them up online to get rid of them. So you can often find stuff on less popular auction sites

the little one that sits ontop is just a cheap reversing car camera from ebay, the other one I use is just a cheap Panasonic DV cam

what can you say about WJ-MX20?
havnt ever used one, i like that it has keys, but it think the number pad controls might get annoying for me.
I just got an MX-20 and I have been messing with it for about two weeks now. I’ll admit, it was my first mixer and I’m im in love with it. I personally love the num pad and OSD. The numpad comes in handy for event presets, really useful and overall fun to use. 10/10 would recommend.
