This man has SO much integrity! Many scientists are so invested in their “life’s work” that they cannot admit that they might’ve been wrong. So much respect for him! He is truly making a difference :)
So true
yes, Prof Noakes reminds me of Dr. Paul Saladino. Paul has SO much integrity! many Influencers are SO invested in their "life's work" that they cannot admit that they might've been wrong. so much RESPECT for Paul! Paul is truly making a difference!

Absolutely great! Tim noakes got me into low-carb-keto 15 years ago. 5 years ago i did carnivore! He‘s a great guy and the work he has done to resurrect his stance on carbs and publicly change what he said about recommending them was the act of someone who truly cares about the integrity of science and human health. I an very looking forward to this interview!
Despite all the pushback and academic bullying he endured he was brave to take on all that to spread the truth about his findings in academia and nutrition.
Absolutely! It takes a huge amount of character and integrity to spend your retirement trying to undo your own professional legacy, and being attacked for it at the same time!
@@anthonychaffeemd according with reliable sources, China has found a cure against diabetes, say's the cure takes 6 weeks, could it be a carnivore cure with some extra XYZ?, I don't know but I think it's worth for you to investigate 😊, PS. I'm Heine ken Thomsen July challenge.
@@anthonychaffeemdwhat about character and integrity to admit to your misguided followers that you don’t actually have an MD, no neurosurgical residency or any published nutritional research 🧐
Prof Tim Noakes also got me to go banting and 6 yrs ago i went carnivore
I'm 81. Ketogenic for 6 years. Carnivore for 18 months. Ran London marathon, aged 78, on no carbs. Ridden 100 miles on bike, aged 76, with no carbs. I recommend work by Stephen Phinney and Jeff Volek.
It'd be great if you could share your story with more >65 year olds who blame all their physical ailments on "getting old"!
So what did you eat, please?

Started carnivore 12/17/23 , was strict and strong for 4 months and then got wobbly in mid April until mid June. Getting back on track with carnivore. Brain fog disappears. Strength, clarity, critical thinking, energy and calm astonish me. I'm 66 and once I get 21 days carnivore, I no longer fear getting older - I feel its a re-wiring of my brain, emotions, mentality as well as my body. Thank you Dr. Chaffee, your interview with the 82 year old lady rancher is another huge motivator. Sharing this video with my carnivore support group.
Maggie is absolutely beautiful inside and out. ❤
Thank you dear for giving me hope, I am 58, I started - ish, and yes ibs vanished, calm, and hopeful here too. So if you're totally carnivore and feeling better, I'll follow suit♥️♥️♥️🌻
I belief everything you just said but i'm not buying this title? I mean if they talking about taking a jog in the park then sure. If im trying to win a 100m race with anybody close to my weight, age & bmi i'm losing 10/10 to somebody that is similair in all those aspects for but has carbs in their diet. But if we talking longevity i'm willing to belief eliminating carbs (at least the processed ones) is a very good choice
What do you eat?
Being South African and an ex sportsman, I have to thank the Proffessor for keeping myself in my sport at a reasonable high level for nearly thirty years. Prof, you are a legend.
Thank you having Professor Noakes, he is so humble always a smile on his face and a beautiful open mind
Oh good, can’t wait to watch this. Tim Noaks my fellow countryman. Respect him so much.
Yes, he's fantastic!
I’m a cyclist in my fifties andI been on carnivore for exactly nine months now. Diabetes, joint issues and other chronic conditions all gone. Century rides used to be the ultimate test, pushing my limits. Two days ago I did my first double century (223 km) easier than my pre carnivore centuries.
Yea it's such a difference right? I've noticed such a difference with inline skating and started cycling 45days ago and cycled 213km 2 weeks ago while fasted 57h 😁 i didn't think i was able to do it so quickly after starting its on my channel 🙈
4 hour mountain bike rides too, without eating or 'carb loading'. My energy seems limitless (and I'm 64).
Congratulations!
My experience is different. I’ve been Carnivore for 4 years. When I ride my bike for 25, 30, or 40 plus miles, I have terrible bouts of dizziness, light headed and pounding heart. I take electrolytes and eat plenty of protein. The only solution for me is homemade rice cakes. I’m open to any suggestions or recommendations.
@@kimsanders244Do you eat before you exercise or go on empty stumic?
What a great episode with Prof Noakes. This man has gone through the ringer for his dedication to the truth regardless of the consequences. A trait not often seen in science these days.
Absolutely rare which is sad really.
Tim Noakes is a legend and a true scientist. So excited for this conversation!
Thank you for your work Professor Noakes. Following your lead saved my life in 2014. Now carnivore for the last 2 years.
Greetings from South Africa. Prof Noakes is a legend!
What a fantastic interview! This is one to save and watch on repeat. Brilliant work. Thank you
Thank you so much, I really appreciate that and I'm glad that you liked it!
This was an absolute delight - I have such respect for Tim Noaks, and his courage in acknowledging an error in his teaching and taking a stand to correct it, even against the powers-that-be! Thank you, Dr. Chaffee!
How can you not have the utmost respect for this man! His knowledge is incredible because he has lived it and now shares it knowing it goes against his old beliefs and today’s narrative.
Dr Noakes you are truly a brilliant and brave man, who has inspired many. 🇨🇦
FANILLY, Noakes is being interviewed here. Woot. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
What a giant of a man! So humble. A real superhero...❤🎉
💯
True scientists who work for knowledge and not money or fame are simple and humble.
Prof is an absolute hero. His story convinced me six years ago.
He’s cheerful, positive, encouraging, principled, accomplished, hardworking and smart as a whip.
I’m glad I found him when I did, especially, just at the time as the rest of the world’s conventional authorities were about to be revealed as lacking in so many of those same essential characteristics.
Prof Noakes is so lovely and inspirational. This interview is such a treat. Thank you both
Thank you very much I'm really glad you liked it! And I agree, Prof Noakes is fantastic!
Fellow SAfrican here - respect! Prof, you're the best! Thanks Dr Chaffee for inviting the best
Thanks to Prof Tim Noakes many restaurants in South Africa have a banting option on their menu.
Can you clarify for me what "Banting" is referring to? A type of food?
@jacklabonte6839 basically a no carb option. Eg hamburger without the bun.
@supercoop9613 ah, I've got ya! I've been doing that for years as a carnivore. Learned something new today. That term banting. Is that specific to the region/country you live? Never heard the term here in Canada.
@supercoop9613 look up William Banting. It's ridiculous but on the advice of a doctor between 1700s and 1800s he came up with no/low carb diet called the Banting diet. It was to cure his diabetes.
Prof. Noakes is a legend. Thank you for this conversation.
Love the integrity of this man - have been doing Banting since it started. Carnivore since October 2023, but only gave up my last carbohydrate, white wine, 5 days ago. Hopeful for the future!
Well if you were going to hang on to a carb that’s a good one😊seriously since going carnivore alcohol is so much easier to give up.
Well done. I'm struggling to give up the odd tipple
wow! you've been doing Banting since 1863? your longevity is amazing!
This is a legendary conversation! Without knowing it - you have just given athletes who are open minded and intelligent enough to- an edge!! Thanks Dr Chafee - this is the interview I’ve most hoped you would do!!
Young Dr. Chaffee looks tickled to death talking to the great Professor Noakes! Having these two on is such a treat, thank you RUclips

Amazing talk, there is so much knowledge in Professor Tim Noakes. I have huge respect for him for being such a leader in this field.
I followed his trial and prayed that he would be vindicated! So thankful that truth prevailed and now many others continue on the foundation of these early low carb leaders!

Thank you Dr Chaffee for introducing us to this remarkable Professor Tim Noakes a man of the highest integrity, he joins the rank of other great men and women in the Medical Industry. Looking forward to the results of his findings. Great interview!
What a great interview , thanks to both of you, Prof Noakes is amazing!
58yo woman 20 kgs or 25 max to lose. I've had 'fascite plantaire' (excuse my French 😋😉) for over 6 months, really painful, every morning or every time I sit and then stand up. I just realised yesterday that pain is not there anymore. Yesterday noon I took 2 spoonfuls of carbs (couscous grains), and today I sinned again with a few spoonfuls of couscous and one teaspoon of brown sugar in my coffee. I slept a bit because when I eat fatty lamb it makes me sleep. I stood up after my nap and felt the pain in my heels. I can't believe it. I think I need to go back on lots of fatty meat, butter, eggs and water, and after a week or 10 days, try some carbs again 6sre if that pain in my heels comes back. Otherwise I have noticed I'm calm and in a good mood and sleep well. Thank you for your precious time educating people 🌻Dr Chaffee.

Can't wait to see the papers Tim is working on, have been hearing him talk about it for a long time now.
I've only been doing keto for a week, and already have tons of energy. I rode my bike for about 10 miles the other day and didn't even feel out of breath. I eat meat, dairy, fruits, and vegetables. Fruit has carbs, but it's not the same thing as bread, pizza, pasta, cereal, rice, potatoes.
Legend!
Thank you
I absolutely loved this interview! Two superstar doctors!
Great work Doc. My best lifts in powerlifting have been with low to no carbs.
Love Tim Noakes!!
Excellent. Been on the low carb. Carnivore journey since early 2023. Mind blowing findings, results. Yes,been in the cycling community for decades-massive push for high carb and plant food (highly processed garbage!). Sad to see SO MANY massively obese ex-racers and club riders over 40.
Question and think and don’t just recite what you memorized. Brilliant!
I'm healthier and happier on low carb diet and wholefoods, no sugar no grains. Did 12 weeks keto 2 years ago and lost over 30kg, slipped back into old diet but now on low carb for life. As a cyclist still trying to get me head round cycling without high carbs.
More of this plz
great interview! thanks for your help, both of you
A legend at its finest 👌🏻
Great chat, thanks both!
I can see Dr. Chaffee excited writing down does wealth of knowledge
Thank you Prof Noakes. I completed 5 marathons in 5 days completely fasted after being a student of yours for years. I did this to demonstrate how much energy we ALL have when we are fat adapted. All I did was put your work into practice. Oh - and I’d never done a marathon before doing this. 🥩💪🏆🙏
I’ve been trail running for 5 months. I run fasted & have completed a 30k & 3-50k’s eating only a couple pieces of bacon. No GI issues like the folks around me vomiting and unable to deal with the heat, eating goo & gels every 30 min. I feel better in general the less I eat especially working or running long hours. I’ve played around a bit the last week with food before running even just meat and I do not perform as well.
Hope they will create an International Nutrition Association to compete on all National Nutrition Councils in the world. Change the nutrition guidelines

It does better on ketones.
And even if it needed Glucose, you don't need to ingest it to have it. Why? Because the body has a way to have it without ingesting it. This process is known as gluconeogenesis (though you can argue that you need proper nutrition for best results of that).
