Real talk from Cube here. I sat in Michele's car in front of the studio years ago and she played her (No More Lies) cassette album while we were waiting for Dre to come to the studio and I was blown away with what I was hearing. I asked Michele what else were they going to do to the songs that day and she replied that Dre was still hearing something missing from the songs. I realized I was in the presence of real music genius because the cassette was superb from what I listened to that day in the car. Incredible talent!

But Cube was the writer. Dre couldn't write hits, so why would the producer tell an excellent writer/rapper anything? Fool he wrote your verses.

Dre is a victim of his own mind, kind of like Michael Jackson became after Thriller. He could never top Thriller, so he wasted his time throwing away his talent trying to repeat a once in a lifetime thing. Dre had his banger and followed in Mike's footsteps to the tee 💯

Dre's gift is also his biggest curse. Love Dre BUT all that I've heard, read, and learned about Dre, Dre, a whole lot of the times, can get too much beside himself and, IMO, over think things waaaaaay too much!!! It's good to want to be a perfectionist BUT that'll never happen because we'll never be perfect and if Dre is a perfectionist, that means Dre has NEVER, EVER put out bullshit and that's definitely not true!!! Dre is one of the greatest ever BUT I've heard beats by Dre that was bullshit!!!
