her teacher is a Estonian lady, Tiiu Peäske. She's been playing since 6. She had a desire to play violin herself after trying it when she was 5. And she has had most caring teachers she could possibly dream of.
wow. this sound is a lot more mature than a sound that a 12 year-old could make!!! very impressive..very clean intonation... she is a great performer and very musical. congratulations...
This was wonderful. Hearing this makes me sad that my school orchestra teacher had us play this song, without getting the full feeling out of it like you did. At least he implemented the solo part, but it just isn't the same if not played like this =')
I agree 100% with rasputia. This song is interpreted beautifully and the tone and vinrato are exceptional! The song is mostly played on high keys, which makes it very difficult to bring out the emotion. But this violinist does exactly that. Good job!
Very well played, with much intensity in the tone! ----------------------------- Rolf, Netherlands. I am a collector of classical 78's and lp's Click "otterhouse" above to see (and hear!) some of my collection.
5 Stars! I think that this is one of my favorite interpretations of the vocalise. Your tone and vibrato are stunning, and you convey the mood of the piece beautifully; try listening to a singer performing the piece (original key = c# minor) for a better idea of phrasing. I recommend listening to Renee Fleming and Anna Moffo; the Fleming recording is in my favorites, next to an ice-skating interpretation.
Merci. By the way, it's their birthday today. They are 13 now. Yes, I am happy for them, but I never had any ambition in that sense. It all came unexpectedly. It's all been for their best..
Very good. I only miss one component that is easy to achieve, for a violinist of this calibre: dynamics. This piece has all of it, pp and ff. But I heard f and ff only. The piano was not too loud, as it is in many recordings, so there was room for dynamics. Maybe we'll hear another incredible rendition, with improved dynamics.
She is really good, you don't here young musicians like that often. I can remember being in orchestras with maybe, four people like that. I agree with you though, it shouldn't be considered outlandish that someone young can play it well, its unhealthy mysticism, if you could get rid of that I bet you would have a lot more kids playing like this.
I'm not understanding why anyone would dislike this. This is absolutely beautiful!
Incredibly sensitive playing and interpretation for someone so young! Love it!!!

It takes talent, it takes a very good teacher and then willingness to work really hard. A combination of all of those IS mystically rare.
Soooo beautifully played...
Any one besides me AMAZED that this is played from MEMORY!!!!!!! :)
Oh! You played so wonderfull!
