I think this is the best idea you ever came up with, I just completed a very complex case using this technique, I sent the guides and the jaw model to my surgeon and he was in Awe ( I could have done it myself, but he referred the case to me for restorative ), I wanted the implants in a specific position at a certain depth. It took some time but it is worth it. Thanks you are a master, and BlueSkyBio is unmatched, I am a Prosthodontics trained in Perio and I have used and viewed other systems. This is by far the best I ever came across.
