Christopher Bustos Who's Marianna? Don't you mean Mirai? (Although I don't blame you for getting it wrong since her name is Japanese. Also, it's interesting because her name in English means future. Literally the only reason I know this is because of Mirai Nikki - Future Diary in English - which is a Japanese anime. One that I would not recommend if you don't like blood or violence or cute but crazy 14 year old pink haired stalkers who is willing to kill for the one that she loves.)
Elisabeth Heiman she's the second generation. At least her parents should know the costume is not Japanese. Or once you become American, it doesn't matter cuz they are American?
光光大熊 I don't think it really matters since she's representing the US at the Olympics and not Japan. Plus, I would assume that her parents are so proud of their daughter that they probably don't mind the outfit that looks like it's Chinese.
Elisabeth Heiman I see. That's how American people see it. But Japanese people are not happy that American people confuse Japan and other Asian countries like China, Korea. We often see it in Hollywood movies. Maybe it's not a big deal but Mirai has a lot of Japanese fans and there are some people who think it matters.
光光大熊 Yeah, I realize that Japan and China are NOT the same country. I actually like Japan more than China and would like to visit Japan someday (but I won't act like that idiot Logan Paul did when he was in Japan. It still outrages me that someone would act like that, not to mention the whole filming a dead body thing.) Also, I'm sorry. I didn't take into account of her Japanese fans. I didn't realize how many fans she had in Japan. Of course, since I am an American of mostly German ancestry (and a little bit of Austrian), it seems like a minor thing to me than to those who are Japanese or of Japanese ancestry.
and now shes the first female US olympian to land a triple axel at the olympics!!! way to go mirai!

Those jumps! Wow! If she makes clean jumps in competition, it's the only way she can compete against the Russian girls.
Love you 😘 was
She's Japanese but her costume is kinda like a China dress. Lol
光光大熊 Correction: Japanese-American.
