Honestly same. I am usually not big into ships, but this one has me laughing, makes me happy and I adore the fact that they both could work to be great together, especially the more they talk to one and other

Especially since his statement will, by literary law, be proven false in the worst possible way.
Yeah, Yanqing is about to get yet another lesson that will traumatize him and build character development when he chooses to ignore words of advice ;-;
@@ManCarSua Actually I feel like he will try to follow advice. I know that Hoyo isn’t afraid to make powerful, nigh-infallible characters, but I think that if we are to return to the Fleet for a mainline Trailblaze mission, Jing Yuan will have to have made a massive mistake. The best way to show the impacts of that mistake is for Yanqing to fail despite following advice - thus pushing him on the path of his HI3 counterpart.
Good video has always! One thing I notice in the March's event (and a little bit from the story) is that Yanqing seems to have mature a bit. I think that the reasons are: his losing streak (we never see him win a single fight), Jing Yuan naming him as March's master and seeing how bratty, overconfident (and disrespectful?) Yunli is, which may remind him of his own attitude when he tried to take on 3 legends of the Xianzhou Luofu. And the one thing that reinforce that idea is the picture of March's training session where we see in the background Yanqing (arm crossed) overlooking the training whereas Yunli is seen eating (with a bored expression), so yeah I hope we'll see a more mature Yanqing in the future
Oh yeah 100%, I adore how much having had this multiple series of losses has helped him grow and mature. I think we had this be most evident during the Heliobi event back in 1.5 in particular. Where the Heliobi was literally beratting Yanqing and attacking every insecurity he had and Jing Yuan is the one to help him free himself from those doubts. And now he is being more fleshed out and that is incredible And yes, him losing, his now role as matter, having Yunli as a sort of mirror of his past back when he was very overconfident before (Literally gave me the vibes from when Yanqing was insistent of hunting down Blade) is so fitting for him. I did see Yanqing having his arms folded, but I didn't interpret it as such, more so as him and Yunli still being at odds with each other. But now that you mention that, it makes so much sense
Bro trained directly under the Divine Foresight, sparred with the Sword Master of the Luofu, and fought both the second most brutal Stellaron Hunter and the Imbibitor Lunae at the same time. You can't tell me that he's gonna have the best glow up if we ever have the chance to see it
here is something I noticed about yanqing , he has the same development as Yuji itadori form jjk during the first 3 arks (befor shibuya arc) where he hesitates to kill people , he's scars , he fears his sword , and that was highlighted in the heliobi event , and when he meet jingliu , he has talent to go against Dan IL and blade combined , fight jingliu who eclipses them both , the reason he loses is because he doesn't want to kill , while others fight to kill him , he is fighting only to capture , which until he changes and becomes willing to kill he will always lag behind
Huh, that is a really interesting way of putting it. Now that you mention it that does make a lot of sense. In the heliobi event I think that was most highlighted and I am so happy we got that scene honestly. Yanqing gets held by his own mind and fears. I also forgot to add this, but I adore how Dan Heng gives words of encourgement to him and mentions how when he fought Blade and him he showed a lot of potential, and that is honestly so true, especially given how annoying and complex he is a boss fight with his swords protecting him and for us needing to actually tailor a proper team to face him, otherwise he is capable of keeping up a massive advantage on us. And when he focuses he is able to unleash the super sword attack. Also more than him willing to kill, it also feels like he needs to understand his strength better and know he is capable of overpowering his opponent and know them down, without lethal force, but he is scared to actually end up hurting them severely or as you mentioned, killing them
@@ManCarSua funny enough is how he has the same draw backs as Jing yuan lore wise in that both of them make killing like the last , I MEAN THE ABSOLUTE LAST stitch effort (you can see the jingyuan animated teaser and see how he reacts when 1: one of the guys he worked with got struck with mara , he hesitates to kill while jingliu doesn't 2: he can't bring himself to kill jingliu (befor the end) despite her trying to kill him So I kinda love how both mirror each other and I wonder if jing yuan sees himself in yanqing and is teaching him in a way that suits him

Funny how Yanqing, a character I was so annoyed by in the first Xianzhou story, is now starting to become one of my favorites, he matured so much compared to his old personality and they show how his losing streak actually affected him negatively instead of just him just ignoring that he was a punching bag in the first one, I'm really excited to see how he develops more in 2.5 and in any future Xianzhou Luofu stories. Meanwhile Yunli in my opinion is basically old Yanqing 2.0, I would really like to see her fighting Dan Heng IL, Blade and Jing Liu in the span of a few days and still act like she's unbeatable, god she's so fucking annoying, but I'm still hoping she gets some character development, maybe fights Hoolay and gets humbled. Also using SMT 4 music at the start is a W my guy, you have good taste in music
It would be cool for Yunli to realize the power scale that Yanqing had to fight. At some point I feel like Dan Heng will have to unleash his Imbibitor Lunae Powers and only then will Yunli grasp why Yanqing feels so overwhelmed after facing the power of former HCQ members. Also apparently Yanqing once slayed 3 brood lords, which is the ranking Hoolay has, so once again, Yanqing in Lore is giga busted
I really wish that if he wins this tournament or has enough significant character development they buff him, it would fit him in lore and it would be cool to make him stand out too. Like having his follow up attacak have a 80% base rate rather than the 65% fixed rate that he struggles with in all honesty. Or having him be able to actually use his follow up attack better Having him buffed after character developmennt would be so flavorful and great to see
Idk why everyone so sure he isnt usable. My Yanqing finiahed Aventurine in MOC12 1 cicle faster than my Jingliu. He has damage, he has solid multipliers, he just has very annoying to work around gimmick
@@what-you-want-of-me-yt First of all, that is awesome. I love hearing that you beat Aventurine with Yanqing and that it was faster than Jingliu I feel like a lot of people end up complaining because that one gimmick he has makes it so that you HAVE to invest a lot of resources and farming into defensive stats for shielders. About Sushang, she is present, as you can interact with her before Yanqing and Yunli compete in slaying abominations, but she's on duty as a Cloud Knight
Yeah I saw about that today! Thanks for pointing it out. It is highly unlikely she will participate in the Wardance then, but oh well. I do hope we can have the meet up with the Ghost Hunting Squad in Aurum Alley
Yeah it would have fit her so much better. Especially as one of the flaming swords (or something like that was her title). Her animations having fire and how she melts swords that she has hunted down according to her lore. It would have been cool. I get why she is physical, but fire would have been so much fun for her and Yanqing to clash with
Man I get what Yunli's purpose is as a character and why she did her actions, I just can't for the life of me bring myself to like her in the main story (it's a bit better in March's event and her companion mission though) because she just reminded me too much of a niece that I absolutely despise.
Yeah the main story really did her dirty, especially with how she acted really rough and obnoxious in those beginning moments. Like her refusing to give up the sword and such. She later does explain her reasoning and her logic behind it which is very sound and reasonable. But her just saying "No I don't want to give you your sword back" just killed her first impression. Once hear her tell Yanqing his sword said he has been nervous, unfocused and such, and Yanqing gives further explanation, then things make more sense. Her Story quest had some rough patches, but was one I adored by the end of it. Also riiiiiiiip not the bad assosiation with a niece. But honestly same with some of the children that one of my cousins has, so I feel that ;-;
@@ManCarSuaI fully agree but I think it just adds to the idea that yes, this is a child, who may have trouble fully expressing what she means in the moment. Like how she only opened up much later so I can understand why hoyo made her character portray like that but it’s a tad unfortunate since it off puts people who have similar situations and dislike her greatly based on the initial interaction.
@@Gottaloveaxolotls Yeah first impressions matter a lot. Honestly that is the same reason why I have had some issues with Mythra in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. The character has a lot of depth and amazing lore. Literally an amazing character that people hate from their first impression and how that makes or breaks a character
At this point, I’m so looking forward to Yanqing new form/path once he gets confident and improve into his peak. Def gonna be there one day, maybe not soon, but one day.
I definitely would want for that to happen. I feel like he will either improve massively and get a new form which would be cool. Or, given how many similarities he has to Jingliu and how often it is highlighted, for him to become partially mara struck, and essentially draw more powers from there. Like Jingliu kinda does in her berserk state but for Yanqing to be able to actually be in full control of his actions
I love Yanqing in the story I have e1 Yanqing and he was my 1st main. It's time to return, I think the game want me to play Yanqing again cuz I got an early Yunli and an early LC.😂 I love Yunli's designe. It's a sign mihoyo I know...
@@ManCarSua That's one of my issues with him, the other is that he just doesn't feel like he does enough damage to measure up to limited HUNT characters EVEN WITH perfect uptime on his buff, which isn't always possible. But yeah, more FuAs = more toughness damage, more energy, and more chances to Freeze (not to mention synergy with IPC characters) so a way to guarantee them would be chef's kiss.
@@hvcskmagyar I mean it definitely WORKS but Yanqing and Yunli aren't exactly synergizing with *each other* in that comp. There's almost no character in the game that would rather have Yanqing as a teammate than just any other stronger hypercarry unit.
Yeah I've seen Yunli get some hate for being a bitch but honestly this are really served to develop Yanqinq to the point where I like him again(I always did but I have him e4 so)
Her first introduction killed the character for so many people. But she had good intentions and once she opened up about her worries and concerns it all made sense. But many are still stuck with her attitude vs Yanqing when she had taken his sword
I thought that scene made perfect sense huh? Were people actually saying that he was just yapping for exposition purposes and just that??? Damn Also, something I forgot to add in the video. Which I find important, especially coming from Jiaoqiu, is that it is mentioned how the medicine Jiaoqiu carries is used to sedate people for surgery and treatments, but it can also kill someone if the dosage is increased. I think that is actually so fitting for Yanqing to hear. Since he holds inmense power, but he is also scared to use too much of it and wind up hurting the opponents he tries to capture or people nearby. But as Jiaoqiu says, if you use the proper amount of the medicine(force) you know things will go fine I think that was a perfect analogy for Yanqing's situation. And I do love how he does get a bit frustrated when Yunli and Yanqing didn't understand his cooking analogy, so he gave a medicine one
@@ManCarSua well I see a lot of people inside Box2 or Mr. Pokke (i don't remember which one) chat saying skip when the scene plays. So yeah it does bother me quite a lot
@@ZeroTwoJumpForevlegit, however I try not to watch them for the lore reactions since they are more interested in other aspects of the game which I can respect but I’d rather watch another content creator like Numi(plus lol), Sweetily, Mina Aoyama, or Hime tsukisaur to take more time to listen and enjoy the story in more depth
Great video and astute observations, however I offer one correction. The old man actually isn't biologically related to Yunli. After the MC goes after her and finds her busting up the mechs, she goes into her backstory and says her father died, and then huaiyang stepped in and raised her AS his granddaughter. Easy thing to miss, but I thought I would clear it up as it draws yet another parallel between Yunli and Yangqing!
Damn woooow that is actually wild. It is such a small little detail, but it is incredibly important. Thank you so much for pointing that out to me and letting me know. I'll be sure to write that down in that case! That makes their parallels that much more fitting and great
I am waiting for the character drama and eventual development Yunli will experience in the future, something something, her cockiness will bite her in the worst ways than Yanqing could deal with, from his experience with the three of the Luofu legends.
Yessss it will be great for her to get into a Battle against Jingliu or Lunae, or even against the Borisin Broodlord beaten by Jingliu (Hoolay) so she can understand more of where Yanqing's fears come from and how he has overcome them. It would be nice to see Yanqing be a support for her after she experiences defeat or an overwhelming power
@@ManCarSua It'd be more interesting if she encounters someone who is good at first but gets corrupted or evil later, then the blade becomes a cursed sword. This would give the epiphany that "It's not the weapon that kills people, it's the person holding it, that kills" given that Yunli has a black and white morality when it comes who is deserving of wielding a sword. But a person that shapes the worthiness and definition of the blade itself
Even more than just fending off Yanqing, she was fighting him while he was possessed by the heliobi. Which made him attack recklessly to an extent with Yanqing trying to still restraint himself a bit All the swords he summoned in that cutscene was insane
Yeah, I was corrected on that in a previous comment. He is her adoptive Grandfather and cares for her like she is related to him. The phrasing in the story "Huaiyan took Yunli as her grandaughter" got me confused there. I appreciate the correction!
Honestly this one of the ships I can get behind. Usually I am not SUPER into shipping, it is nice to see. But for this one I am rooting for the 2 of them. My guy Yanqing deserves a W and happiness
I mean, in the impact version they are married, so why not do the same here Welt is just as f#cking op like in impact, but he found his pills in this version 😂
Even their gameplay are the exact opposite. You want your yanqing to avoid taking damage by any means While yunli hit hard after she got attacked Tho it's kinda weird that yunli's weakness type is not fire
The one reason I can see Star Rail making Yunli be a physical character is because she is not only a prodigy at wielding swords. But she is also a smith and has studied under a furnace master While we use fire/heat to melt iron and transform it into swords, or other tools. It is the person's physical strength and technique that allows their creations to shine and fulfill their purpose. Everyone has access to fire. But not everyone has access to technique But I could be overthinking that honestly

Once hear her tell Yanqing his sword said he has been nervous, unfocused and such, and Yanqing gives further explanation, then things make more sense. Her Story quest had some rough patches, but was one I adored by the end of it.
Also riiiiiiiip not the bad assosiation with a niece. But honestly same with some of the children that one of my cousins has, so I feel that ;-;
Bro is Blade 💀
fr
Truly Yanking and Queenli moment
They are the best duo. I am so happy I just finished the continuance quest. And it was so good. They certainly grew a lot in this patch and I am happy
I love Yanqing in the story I have e1 Yanqing and he was my 1st main. It's time to return, I think the game want me to play Yanqing again cuz I got an early Yunli and an early LC.😂 I love Yunli's designe. It's a sign mihoyo I know...
Yoooo that's awesome. I am so happy to hear you got great luck on your pulls and welcome back!
I love them, I ship them, they're so cute together.
IF ONLY HOYO MADE THEIR KITS SYNERGIZE WITH EACH OTHER AS WELL, I WANT TO USE MY BOI AGAIN q_p
Why not? Just have topaz and aventurine and give yanqing a fua set and TADA premium midget couple team
If they could make Yanqing's Follow up be consistent that would be amazing in all honesty. I would absolutely adore that
@@ManCarSua That's one of my issues with him, the other is that he just doesn't feel like he does enough damage to measure up to limited HUNT characters EVEN WITH perfect uptime on his buff, which isn't always possible.
But many are still stuck with her attitude vs Yanqing when she had taken his sword
hoyo has blessed me with love
I am happy to hear that!
Finally someone who understand the Jiaoqiu part and not saying that it's just mindless yapping
I thought that scene made perfect sense huh? Were people actually saying that he was just yapping for exposition purposes and just that??? Damn
Also, something I forgot to add in the video. But as Jiaoqiu says, if you use the proper amount of the medicine(force) you know things will go fine
I think that was a perfect analogy for Yanqing's situation.
@@Gottaloveaxolotls I know but dayum their chat is just annoying sometimes
@@ZeroTwoJumpForev Damn that is so freaking rough :/
Yeah that would bother the heck out of me in all honesty
Yanqing is the Honored One
Yangqing is still taking Ls for his past actions in an alt universe
My poor boy deserves a god damn break, he needs to take a W one of these days
That makes their parallels that much more fitting and great
Yeah, she's meta defining, he's
I like yanqing, so chill
You didn't have to do my boy so dirty there 😭
But honestly fair
Let me continue that for ya : yanqing is the original meta !
Which is why they should marry and have a happy family
We support the Yanli growth
Oooooh I like that idea a ton!
Perfect strangers
They really are
can we talk about how crazy sushang is? she managed to fend off yanqing and tanked a blow from yunli!
Even more than just fending off Yanqing, she was fighting him while he was possessed by the heliobi. Which made him attack recklessly to an extent with Yanqing trying to still restraint himself a bit
All the swords he summoned in that cutscene was insane
I don't think Huaiyan is Yunli's grandfather by blood. Iirc Yunli is the daughter of one of Huaiyan's disciples
Yeah, I was corrected on that in a previous comment. He is her adoptive Grandfather and cares for her like she is related to him. The phrasing in the story "Huaiyan took Yunli as her grandaughter" got me confused there. I appreciate the correction!
ship so good both the gays and straight ships it🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Honestly this one of the ships I can get behind. Usually I am not SUPER into shipping, it is nice to see. But for this one I am rooting for the 2 of them. My guy Yanqing deserves a W and happiness
I mean, in the impact version they are married, so why not do the same here
Welt is just as f#cking op like in impact, but he found his pills in this version 😂
It would be cool watching them grow and develop as characters throughout the story
Great video!
Idk what to say but to get this into the algorithm!
The comment alone is already incredibly helpful and I really appreciate the supportive words. Thank you so much and I am glad you enjoyed it!
Even their gameplay are the exact opposite.
You want your yanqing to avoid taking damage by any means
While yunli hit hard after she got attacked
Tho it's kinda weird that yunli's weakness type is not fire
The one reason I can see Star Rail making Yunli be a physical character is because she is not only a prodigy at wielding swords. But she is also a smith and has studied under a furnace master
While we use fire/heat to melt iron and transform it into swords, or other tools. It is the person's physical strength and technique that allows their creations to shine and fulfill their purpose. Everyone has access to fire. But not everyone has access to technique
But I could be overthinking that honestly
