Also, in that one companion quest with yanqing and jingliu, there’s a book on one of the tables that describes a battle with a man transforming into a beast (like hoolay does) and a woman with an icey blade, which is like how jingliu defeated hoolay! I’m not completely sure if this is him, but they refer to the beast having wolf like features, so if it is, crazy foreshadowing
Compassie as his real name definitely threw me off a lot. It doesn't sound as smooth or neat as Clockie, so it was very odd. Like, one would expect it to be 2 syllable names, but he has 3
The Euridition Clockie items seem to be representations of the animation process I think, like visually. The first one is an initial character sketch --> maybe a storyboard or some type of 3D modelling --> cell sheet animations. I think it might be partially a reference to the clockie animation we see everywhere but also maybe a reference to Penacony itself, either through the eyes of The Watchmaker and the creation of Penacony or how we go through the Penacony storyline and "see" all the pieces fitting together. "The animators hid their wisdom in every frame..." being a very sus hint
I do like that way of thinking a lot. And it would be neat to have the process of animation be growing as the time goes, similarly to how knowledge and wisdom for the Erudition works. I also found it cool someone pointed out that the ascension material may also be the process of how Mikhail created Clockie, and why Clockie speaks in the descriptions. So like his process in creating Penacony and maybe even dreamweaving "The animators hid their wisdom in every frame..." is really something that still is bothering me, so I hope we get to learn more about that in the near future
Great video Manny! To address your question at 5:36, I think the Nous Temple was the library that Fu Xuan ends up in during her first character story, since the old man she meets there is very much implied to be Nous themself. She thus must have been given a key, so you don't need to be a GS member to go in there. I especially think this since the quote attached to the Key of Wisdom, "The Erudition does not have answers to the universe, but it will teach you how to ask the right questions." is basically what the old man tells Fu Xuan during that character story. So yeah, the Nous Temple very likely takes the form of an infinite library of knowledge. Also I do find it interesting how the Heaven Incinerator looks similar to the mask Xueyi wears on her belt
Thanks Shiro! And I see. I had completely blanked out on Fu Xuan having access to the Temple of Nous. I remember she attained her divination powers to the level she has because of Nous' blessing though. Having an elderly entity as Nous seems so funny to me ngl. It is so cool that none Genius Society members too can access this repository of information honestly The concept of asking the right questions to be able to gain clarity is great in all honesty. I definitely enjoy the fact that Nous wants people to search for the information rather than spoon feed it to them. A person's hard work, and research pays off because they get to master the knowledge, as opposed to just knowing it like a fun trivia fact! And the concept of an infinite library just reminds me of when a genius character in a show is trying to find some obscure piece of information in their mind. I think they used that imagery in Sherlock
When in doubt, blame the Fictionologists. Honestly I can see that being the case, like those shields were just used to fight them. I don't think successfully but they used them apparently
I think the Clockie animation materials are about Mikhail creating Clockie and by extension becoming a more significant influence in Penacony by learning how to manipulate Memoria. It's why the first quote is Clockie asking if he can be seen. Literally being formed, the second tier referring to Gallagher's fictionality pushing Clockie and by extension Mikhail to hero status. And then finally Mikhail's ultimate accomplishment as a dreamweaver in creating Misha, a Memetic recreation of himself. All these play into Erudition because they are fundamentally about Mikhail's learning of dream weaving, his place in history, and then finally his ultimate culmination of knowledge. It's more than likely not symbolizing any greater motion by Clockie or Mikhail but the hefty implications of a trailblazer learning to bend Memoria as Mikhail can will more than likely be very significant in the next planet for obvious reasons.
Ooooh now that you mention that, it would make a lot of sense. Having him be able to manipulate Memoria and having learnt dreamweaving through that sounds really cool and is very fitting Now that you mention the first quote being about Mikhail actually being able to see him makes that a really adorable line. I interpreted it as someone like us being able to see him. But looking at it from Mikhail's lense makes so much more sense! I love the explanation for every tier The idea of not only the animation, but Mikhail's journey growing through the ideals of Erudition sounds sick ngl. I really enjoy that a lot. And it fits the keys of erudition too. A sketch with the initial inspiration. Growing into the knowledge to animate. And then ending in wisdom when the person has become adept at their craft
I think the very last one does refer to them, but the previous 2 I was not entirely sure. And the main thing for why I assumed it may not have been fully Galaxy Rangers related is because we do have non-gunslinger Galaxy Rangers since Rappa got introduced
I really love in HoYoverse that they put lore in everything If I recall correctly, one artifact set (I think it was an artifact set) told a lot about Scaramouche's past, and Scara fans were able to do cool stuff like animations based on that before it was all confirmed!! That is actually so interesting. I just looked at his E6 picture since I don't have him at that Eidolon and it is such a cool and interesting detail. But yeah, those flowers scare me because if you read the lore on Passerby of the Wandering Clouds, specifically the hairpin, we see that Blade actually has the power to grow flowers from dead tree. Yeah, that hairpin that used to be Yingxing's. Blade ACCIDENTALLY recreated it. And that is a *real* flower he accidentally grew from a dead branch just by touching it. A power I can only assume comes from Shuhu. And something I think ties these flowers too Shuhu as well. So I hate them. Blade run.
Thank you! Now you need to make lore analysis about consumable!
I shall add it to the list in that case. I know a few of them are pretty interesting. So I am now looking forward for it!
Really good video! Didnt know alot of these
I am happy to hear that you enjoyed it!
Smt4 tokyo music. Goated video wtf
Smt4's OST is geniunely one of the best things in the world. The fact Tokyo's beginning was something I heard so many times. Yet I never hated the fact it repeated shows how top tier it is (I did 3 playthroughs of the game)
real as fuck
i think my megaten brainrot is too strong because i caught tokyo playing in the video immediately even at low volume
@lilliegant73 It is just an iconic OST honestly. I love it so much and can also spot it when other people use it lmao
@@ManCarSua also noticed the kingdom hearts menu noises you used. neat!
I'm surprised, a westerner actually pronounced Yaoshi correctly 🎉
I try my best with it. Sometimes I ask for help from one of my uncles in pronunctiation because he is from China and speaks Cantonese since he grew there. Honestly this game and other mythology based games actually helped me bond with him a lot oddly enough (he does not know of the game, but is happy I talk mythology or ask about chinese words with him)
@@ManCarSua that's neat wish I had a direct source for understanding hsr lore
Wew mr reca is almost an amber era old huh?
I don't think he is. If I accidentally implied that, that was my bad. Though, given that he is a memokeeper and they follow the Rememberance, maybe he has a way to stop his aging now that I think about it. But idk
@ManCarSua the followers of the rememberance give up their physical forms right? The one on the astral express implied it I think.
@Unresolvedissues101 ooooh you are right. I had completely blanket out on that for a moment. That is also why they can just choose who can and cannot see them
@@ManCarSua yeah their bodies are basically pure memoria, it's also the reason why memetic viruses are lethal to them.
