Maybe they got another wrestler to portray Rey Mysterio Gold and book a future storyline where Rey Mysterio Gold is the real Rey Mysterio and the other Rey Mysterio’s a crook and an impostor. Or maybe, Rey decided to say “Eff it, I’ll just take off my regular gear while I’m out here and rejoin the match as Rey Mysterio Gold! If Mick Foley can do it not once but three times, I can do it too” The only difference is, Mr Foley got to enter as his various gimmicks at different points in the Royal Rumble match back in 1998.

I had planned to wait until all the episodes for this year had released and binge watch them all at once, but what can I say, I love a good train wreck.
This rumble had that instant classic feel to it. This is up there with the greats of the Rumblethon
Based on the comments already here, and the fact that this game seemingly hasn't been featured on the channel before, I'm both excited and worried about this one. RNG gave me entry #21, so hopefully they'll stand a good chance in this mess.

This has legit been my favorite rumble. The alure of it being the first time featured on a rumblethon, the beginning of the rumble, the competitors, the eliminations, how they always do the useless submissions 1/4 the time, the running off the ropes 10 times in a row, the turnbuckle spots, and the end.
Spoilers for anyone but Rey entering twice was the funniest start, Batista hitting like 5 finishers, Lita being a beast, Triple H being Johnny's pick then getting jobbed out, and by far the most insane quick funny elimination of Jazz flying out. By the way Charlie Hass deserved way more; he entered #19, got to final 2, and bled like a pig. Eugine is still a big win though.
Not the same engine as Raw 2. In fact, totally different company. This game was made by MK co-creator John Tobias' studio, Gigante. They made a budget fighting game before this. They had 6 months to put this game together, and when they shipped the game, someone accidentally sent a beta version to the manufacturer. So the initial retail copies of the game were very broken, and they had to do a full recall on all copies. Two weeks later, they began shipping out corrected versions of the game, but by that point, they had already lost millions of dollars and had to quickly file for bankruptcy.
Honestly, as broken as this game is, the fact they were able to build an engine, do all the models, animations, and put this together in 6 months? Quite an impressive feat. Would have been nice if they were given the full 16 months that all the rest of the games have.

Growing up, WrestleMania 21 was my first wrestling game. The graphics have aged pretty well, especially with the power of upscaling via emulation, but fuck if the AI wasn't dumb as hell to play against. Seeing nL experience this firsthand has me feeling all kinds of vindication for my childhood. 😅😅
One of the best parts was the superman punch of Kurt angle 😆
The stage looks like it's the size of a goddamn mountain. If you zoom in enough, you might see Frodo and Sam climbing up to drop the brass ring into the volcano on Mt. Fist
Update on the Royaliest of Rumbles prizepool, we now have:
- a bag of chips and the Ultimate Warrior poster from Wrestling Empire (formerly held by CM Punk but STOLEN by Edge last night)

This was legit one of my first wrestling games I'd ever own as a kid. That and Burnout 3 Takedown and NBA Inside Drive 2003, back when NBA games had class and were unique against 2K and EA. My mom pre-ordered this game for me at Gamestop and played the hell out of that on XBOX before jumping to Playstation and playing SVR 2006.

✋️ I got this game a little over a year ago when I got a modded original Xbox console from Cash Converters in Australia. And I completed WrestleMania 21 100% (without cheats) throughout a single month. It does take a long time, but there is a strategy to make more cash for the WWE Shop. You just have to play a hell of a lot of 1 on 3 handicap matches on rising star difficulty. And may I say to everyone who is willing to give it a try, good luck, because the gameplay is kinda whack.

The og xbox didnt get much wrestling games, just this, the Raw games, def jam and The Wild Rings.(very obscure japan only xbox wrestling game, which you guys should check out one day.) Im glad WM21 got a rumble video, with all its jank.
