how about the performance in mud? I'm in dilemma where I always in mud/clay but also in drive in long stretch highway which make my maxxis 764 only able to last 8 months which is bad in terms of money. I'm considering choosing the at/hybrid tire for balance on my wallet and safety at muddy terrain.
So at the time to this video I haven’t done any mud driving, since then I have done and I must say I’m very happy with how they performed. They eject the mud very well and maintain grip and traction. I’m especially impressed with them considering the weight I carry. Another good option would be the Gripmax Inceptions.
@bushlifeafrica 1.2 bar = 17psi Yeah Our bakkies are the same size. Did the Side wall Flex to much down On 1.2bar. or wasn't lower Needed. Like I understand it's a 3 ply side wall
Some things I forgot 🙈! I run my tires at 2.4 bar in the front and 2.6 Bar at the back. Road noise - Next to none. I do have straight pipe so wouldn’t really be able to hear anyway 😂 I have heard some noise when the wind hits the tires at a funny angle I can’t think of anything else I may have forgotten! If you have any more questions please shoot !
Got my 285/70/R17 XT gripmax Tyres from Tiger Wheel and Tyre Pietermaritzburg for my hilux, love them!

Thanks for reviewing these tyres. Can you say something about the tyres side? Are the sides easy gets the cuts
They have a 3 ply side wall very strong. Never had an issue off road. Just be sure to be at the correct pressures
Have you done some rocky climbing roads
Since this video I have yes and I’m very impressed!
