Hi, I'm Charlotte Dobre. I'm an actor, reactor, singer and sometimes (not really) comedian. On this channel I do reactions, commentary and occasionally I make a joke or two. I love poking fun at social media, weddings, entitled people, tiktok and OF COURSE petty people. I upload daily, usually 7 days a week, unless life gets crazy or I get lazy. I’m a registered dental hygienist and halitosis is just a technical term for bad breath. It’s not a disease. It sounds like this girl either had periodontal disease or necrotizing perio/gingivitis. Periodontal disease is an active infection in the gums that can cause bad breath. Periodontal disease does not go away but can be maintained and the halitosis can be fixed. Necrotising perio/gingivitis is a severe infection which can literally cause rotting or death of the gum tissue. It’s the worst smell you could possibly smell and it lingers. Sounds like that girl needs to go to dentist. Thank God you didn’t kiss her!!! Nastyyyyy.

I think the worst thing as a person who goes to the dentist every six months, brushing twice a day, and had my teeth rotting from the inside out, with no known cause. One son is 4th generation going through genetic testing, as it has evolved, to see if we can get it to stop because his are doing the same and he takes awesome care of his teeth as well.

    • @erikarussell1142
      @erikarussell1142 26 дней назад +140

Yes, that is absolutely able to be spread as it’s an infection. Just like you can get cavities from sharing saliva with someone who has cavities. Be careful about your health and wellbeing yall.

Even those basic things could come up in everyday conversations. Sure parents can't think of every little thing to teach their child but basic financing should be something they talk.

This has happened to me but I was actually sick with severe strep throat. I had to be in the hospital for the day until the swelling went down and I could get fluids. The bills racked up were ridiculous such as a test and to speak to my doctor for 5 minutes was 500 dollars alone. I applied for medical aid and they covered all of it!
If you ever go into a situation like this you can always negotiate a payment plan or a smaller price.

I got moved to a different room in the hospital. A new nurse asked, "Are you using that heating pad?" "What heating pad?" "The one sitting on the window sill." "I didn't know it was there." "Well, if you're not using it you should return it because they are charging you for every day you have it!" (A heating pad would have made my condition exponentially worse!) the bill JUST for the hospital, AFTER the insurance covered what they would pay: $125K+++!!! CAREFUL!

    RN here.
Had a pt, older lady, post surgical, who I initially thought was retaining urine - her stomach was TAUT, but not hard… & she had good bowel sounds & she said she felt “full”. (I’m nightshift).
She said she was in PAIN and hadn’t moved around that much due to it. So before scanning her bladder, I offered to help reposition her in the bed.
I shifted her and OMG!!! She LET IT RIPPP! It was hilarious BUT I could tell she was super embarrassed but I couldn’t help giggling. BUT THEN I pushed on her stomach a bit to see if it was still taut and as I pushed down more came out. It was LITERALLY like a whoopee cushion ! Then she started pushing on her belly and it just kept coming out and we were both cracking up laughing at this point. It was so surreal! And she felt so much better… laughter is good for the heart (but so was that fart!) . Idc how old you are, farts are just funny. 😂

I am a retired nurse and I have a VERY strong stomach. My last job was being a school nurse at a high school. One student refused to bath, wash hair and wear clean clothes. I had meetings with her, spoke to her mother-no changes. Mom came up to the school to complain that her daughter had no friends and we needed to intervene. I was called into the meeting to see the mother-dirty clothes, unbathed, greasy hair. We had a conversation about hygiene and mom said this was her belief, that bathing was harmful. Fast forward to spring and graduation. The student came in because she needed her height and weight for her graduation robes. She took off her her shoes and I almost threw up on her. Oh-CPS was called and there was an ongoing case when I left.

She just couldn’t comprehend you still have to pay for it. Of course this is when she was like 12……..but she never has really learned to manage her finances very well. I actually am concerned about what will happen to her and her family once our mom passes (dad passed a few years ago). I’ve got stage IV cancer, so who knows when I will go, and bro won’t pay for her. She never moved from home so her and her husband (who is perpetually injured at work) still live with my mom and their 3 young kids. I also recently moved back home due to my health (I can’t work or drive anymore and can only walk short distances with the help of a walker or wheelchair). I can only hope her eldest will be old enough to watch the two younger ones when that time comes as there is no way they can pay for childcare for 3, and I’m not sure they’d even be able to afford a 1 bedroom. Probably will end up moving in with in-laws, who moved to the other side of the country when they retired.

After the one running my stuff kept getting distracted I finally had enough and interrupted them: "First, you should not be discussing this in front of a customer. Second, you're being paid twice what I'm getting and you're getting guaranteed increases over the next 3 years while I'm living on 10% less than before and no pay increase in sight. Third you're unhappy that they've raised your retirement age to 59 from 52? Boo-hoo. I'll be lucky to retire when I'm 70. I hope you do strike. I hope they bring in a whole group of replacement works. I hope that busts your union into tiny little pieces. You have it easy here. Wake up and take a ride on the reality train! I just talked to my partner yesterday about his breath because it's not always that bad but sometimes I can't even breathe when he talks to me and a few days ago he just randomly started to bleed from his gums and I started to get worried. Had a lot of anxiety over him being sad/mad when I brought it up. I pointed out that it's probably because of him using chewing tobacco almost 24/7 and suggested various things to use when brushing his teeth and maybe not put in chewing tobacco immediately after. And he was like "Oh. Maybe I should just quit altogether as soon as I can?" and was not upset at all and grateful. It turned into a nice conversation and I felt so relieved.

Some hospitals bill separately for almost everything which is total BS. Where I live some of the ER bills don't include scans or labs, and you may be charged separately for the physician if they don't go through the hospital for payment. Because of this we can get bills from multiple departments for one visit.

The teller tried to explain that his credit was maxed out and that he need to may a payment to free up some funds. But the guy insisted that they had refilled it before. I thought it was going to be $12,000 to be honest. I have a chronic illness and I sometimes receive the bill before my insurance does. They charge $40 for a Tylenol, they charge you to have the nurse put the medication in your hand, $400 for saline which is just salt water and I could go on and on. It's atrocious what happens in our healthcare system.
** The hospitalist that saw her will be another bill as well as the radiologist that read the CT scan will be another bill. The $8,000 just covered basically the CT scan and walking in the door, having your vitals checked etc. You still get bills from the doctors on top of that.

Insurance companies and hospitals have contracts which (in the US) typically boil down to "the insurance company will send their customers the hospital's way in exchange for only paying a percentage of the hospital's usual fees." Percentages are fixed by service or group of services and in my experience can range from 50% down to less than 10%. Hospital (and pharmacy, and your doctor's office, and anyone who deals with insurance and has to have the same contracts) still needs to make a certain amount off of each service to pay their employees and their own insurance and the physical overhead, etc. So they raise the price they usually charge. Hospital needs to make $20 off of service X, so they used to charge $20, but insurance company A said they'll pay 20% of whatever the normal fee is so now they charge $100 to still make $20, but if you're self-pay they'll very kindly give you a discount and only charge you $20. This is also why insurance companies do NOT want you to go to out-of-network providers and often flat-out refuse to pay if you do (they'd have to pay the full price as inflated by other insurance contracts); it's also why many doctors offices and pharmacies (more likely the smaller they are) won't accept patients out-of-network (the cost of fighting your insurance for it is more than what they'll make, even at the inflated prices, even if they get those).

Unfortunately, she will be getting more bills as that’s just from the hospital. The physician and the radiologist reading the scan both will bill separately. If she had insurance, those same tests are negotiated with the insurance company and the tests are cheaper. Years ago we only had major medical. Labwork was over $300. The same labwork with insurance was $12. One doesn’t buy insurance because you plan to use it, one purchases insurance to pay for any expense that you can’t afford on your own.

On the expensive ER bill, if you don't have insurance you often qualify for massive discounts. My wife went through something similar a few months ago (only she was also throwing up blood in addition to the pain) and it turned out to be basically the same thing (apparently a med she's on interacts horribly with aspirin and tears up your stomach). Bill was about the same before the self pay discount, but after the self pay discount was less than a grand (they assume self pay people are poor I guess ... that or there's a ton of shenanigans and kickbacks and what not between the hospitals and insurance companies or something). So she should contact the bookkeeping department at the ER and find out if there's any discounts available for her.

Credit Cards: Explain to her that a credit card is the bank's money that you are borrowing and they are hoping you'll be late on the payment so you end up paying them a fee/interest on the original amount you borrowed. So they send you a bill at the end of the month giving you the option to pay just the minimum which in actuality doesn't pay off your original amount, but just the interest accrued. If you continue to pay minimum, you will NEVER pay off the card. So you need to teach your kiddo to only use the credit card as a convenience and NOT as if it is extra money. You need to know how much you have in savings/checking and then transfer that amount to the credit card to pay the bank what you borrowed. In other words, a CREDIT card is borrowed money and NOT YOURS. A DEBIT card is your money that you paid directly from your savings/checking account. We need to explain these things to kids while they are in school.

Those other two were being so rude, and he was super sweet about it. I am all for his "Janet"

I was thinking the same thing. I've witnessed this same conversation go very differently down here in the south.

He's the cutest thing I've ever seen in my life. Making his confession and then giggling like a naughty child who got away with it.

I love the grocery guy's adorable huffa huffa laugh. He is the cutest thing on the planet and he must be protected. As a former cashier, I would NEVER do what that girl did. She was unprofessional.

Yeah that's actually beautiful not a big deal that he confronted the situation. He obviously doesn't do it often and it was called for punishment fit the crime.

I’ll never forget the episode of Corey in the house where he got a credit card and hard to learn that lesson. That was what taught me.

In canada I had appendicitis and I sat in a chair, after my scans and they knew I needed surgery, while I waited for my emergency surgery, because there weren't any beds. I waited 4-5 hrs to see a doctor and another 3-4hrs for the emergency surgery and by the time I was in surgery my appendix burst. Yay universal health care 🇨🇦

Stuff like that American Express girl make me so happy that my Mama was teaching me how credit cards and checkbooks work at SEVEN years old. Now I am frugal and have over 800 credit score.

As an european, I get her confusion. Credit cards are barely used here, only by compagnies, and we only have debit card. So you go to a store, you pay, and the money leaves your account immediatly.
If the girl was never clearly explained the credit card fonctionnement (and that's on the mother), she is thinking "I am paying at the moment I am on the store, so why is my bank asking to pay for it a second time ??"

I saw credit card ads on tv with beautiful people swiping their cards and walking off with awesome stuff. My mother kept telling me that we didn’t have money for the things I wanted, so I told her she needed to get one of those clever cards, then we wouldn’t need money. I was FIVE!

I blame the mom for not explaining to the kid how credit cards work before handing her one.

@@irina-ty1336we (sweden) do have credit cards, it's just super uncommon and debit is the norm. The way to be in debt and for it to not have real life consequences here generally is the obvious of not paying your bills, but also by taking SMS-loans (that dont discriminate like banks do and can do lower amounts) with EXTREME rates
