    I learned a lot about fossils this year on our trip Aidan! This video was very interesting. You found a plethora of different fossils. The hash plate of Tentaculites is pretty cool!

      Thank you Andrew, there is a trip to Hungry Hollow happening this Saturday if you are interested i don't know if I can make it but if you have time I would recommend it, the trip leads are super helpful.

    OMG! What a place! The only fossils we have are trapped in limestone matrix.
    I still can't get over the quality and detail of that trilobyte you had prepped! Outstanding.
    Those hash plates are also incredible!
    Thanks for sharing, I may visit there some day.

      It's a pretty cool place if you are ever I the area you got to check out the local park and the river banks.

    That was awesome! You are lucky to have such a great spot available.
    What hardness is the matrix around there? Here it's a Mohs of around 4 so prepping fossils is a lot of work and often the matrix pulls away part of the surface :(

      Depends the layers the fossils come out of, there are layers with harder limestone, soft sand stone, shalely matrix, soft clay, etc.
