Not only is it normal to fail a midterm, it is also normal to like this video - so make sure you do both

This is my first semester in engineering and i can’t count how many times I’ve cried because of a quiz or midterm.
Most nights I’m like I’m going to quit and the next day i see myself dressing up for class.
But thank you so much for this video ❤

I applaud your resilience! Keep staying tough, but know that there is nothing wrong with feeling defeated on days 💙 (given how demanding the engineering curriculum is, it'd actually be pretty crazy if you didn't feel down every so often tbh)

4:21 >withdrawing from or failing a class will delay your academic schedule by "a few months" (1 term)
Oh man if you guyses' classes were offered every term out of the year I am jealous.... in my program in uni the first three years were in sequence, so class 1-1, 1-2, 1-3, then 2-1, 2-2, etc, so if you had to redo a class you would have to wait an entire YEAR until that class was offered again, and you couldn't take any subsequent classes in the meantime, because that class was a prerequisite. I know people who entirely changed majors because they failed one class by a few percent and didn't want to wait an entire year 😂
    Good video, good advice

Oh damn, I didn't know it got that bad out there 🫣 Ya every class at the college I went to wasn't offered across all semesters, but typically it would only be missing for maybe a quarter (I was on the quarter system) so it wasn't the worst thing in the world. But ya that point about prerequisites is what would really mess people up at my school 🫠 Thank you for the insight about other universities!

9:29 - 9:40 NGL, passing a ridiculously hard class and still not being able to understand it really brings me back to Math Stats 1 (STA 131B at UC Davis) when I took it my junior year during COVID. After many people in that class struggled on all of the quizzes except the last one (averages were 48% - 67%) because our professor sucked at teaching and the proofs were HELLA rigorous, many people passed the class because of how fat the curve was. Glad to have survived and have never used this course again in my industry 🤠🤠🤠🤠

I’ve been an engineer for 11 years and I still don’t know what a differential equation is.
