- Another plaza layout that features an ANGLED PATHWAY and decorated villager home using items and greenery you get EARLY in the game! I hope this brings you TONS of inspo for your map! make sure to watch with audio as I talk about tips/tricks and discoveries I'm making through the building process! I plan to make many entry ideas with transitions and I also plan to make a nice and functional looking garden to farm materials and resources. here is a great design tip for you guys if you drop the rocks you can use them as curbs for your road or paths. the reason to use those rocks instead of the ones on the furniture inventory is because you can run over the rocks whereas the ones in the furniture inventory you can't run over them
Yesss this is great. I also love using the greenery/flowers too for that reason!

I friggin love this lol. One thing I hope they fix when the game come out is having a 'repeat/copy" button when designing instead of having to go back in the storage constantly, for instance, I would like to be able to constantly add more rocks in my layout if I'm going to be using the same rock over and over...hopefully that makes sense. I also play ACNH and definitely need some decorating tips, my island is horrible lol, as well as Pokemon, I am going to check out ur other videos.
Great idea for creating “curved” paths! Reminds me of building in the Sims. Love your ideas! I’m a Sims builder and this type of game is new territory for me so it’s an adjustment but, one I am excited for. I have a feeling that you are going to love the Forest of Valor; has such a cozy woodland vibe and some nice rock and plant items. Thank you again for such wonderful inspiration. I usually build on ACNH, so complete OPPOSITE for me, LOL I want to get back into the sims though, I only have base game 4 atm, I LOVED sims 3, and still do, but lost all my copies. oh my gosh yes I just unlocked forest of valor, LOVE all the items, for sure doing a more forest theme next to try!

This is amazing. I haven't been able to do much decorating on the switch as it is not user friendly with micromovements. But, I'm still going to try.

I’m not sure if this works or not but I know the game uses touch screen on switch for some stuff..I’m wondering if you could build via touch!

Love this! Thanks so much! I'm having the hardest time with the restaurant, shop, remy's house... and then ursula/ariel/donald..... some houses really are hard to create a cohesive aesthetic for, and the layout of each biome can be boxy, making it even harder with the larger buildings.. But it's an interesting challenge for sure!

so impressed you're able to do all this with a controller! genuinely i struggle so hard to get the items to be in the exact spot i want them (which isn't something that i struggle with in acnh). i've just accepted i'm going to have to wait for the mac release ,and hope my computer can run it, before i start decorating.

I build on my PC! But I use an XBOX controller to build, I love this game on pc because the graphics just are cleaner/runs better!

They should take inspiration from sims with no clip command so u can over lay certain deco
Based on what I understand, they will have free updates for now, but the moonstone currency will be used for alot of future aesthetic content, like how they are running the Pixar fest right now. And I wouldn't be surprised if they do release some larger expansions that you have to pay cash for. But the moonstone currency will be a major thing in the future, as the idea would be that you would spend money for the moonstones, which then you'd be able to use to get what you want. Just what I've heard. Anyway, love your design work, you've given me some great ideas here!

@@horriblegamingofficial They've already announced that there will be paid DLC once the game is out of early access. Moonstone currency will be purchasable with real-life money: they accidentally had a bunch of packs briefly showing on Steam, with Moonstone packs ranging from $0.99 to $99.99.

Questions- When you say your resources are still spawning in the peaceful meadow- Different resources spawn in different areas. Example: falling penstemon. These spawn in the plaza. Are you getting them to spawn in the peaceful meadow?
Also, when you are placing the rocks along the path edge are you able to walk across that path or do the rocks obstruct you from navigating across them?

yes i can walk around everything fine :) and yeah everything is spawning in my meadow and i have a dedicated little natural spot for resources on the plaza :) as mentioned in the video, leave a small spot for those, you could even make it a "park" it would be so cute!

i love this but i have yet to hear any youtuber mention the glitch where items disapear. I had it happend today and looking their discord it seems to be a big problem to people. I hope it is gonna be one of the bug fixes coming up since u can lose anything even NPC houses or ur own house. lucky for me i only lost 2 pillars but it scared me cus the pillar is the one you unlock by leveling up and when it is gone from ur inventory u cant buy it again.. so i recommand everyone has atleast a few of the same object in their inventory.
It happened to me once and hasnt since im having the issue with minnies quest with it and now idk if itll let me progress 😅😅

Stupid question but what’s the fastest way to get a whole bunch of pathway paving
Not at all! So you can hold down and drag the path but im still adjusting to it lol as for getting materials to have it. You can craft it or steal it from other spots on the map like i did. I flattened the biome.
I’m finding designing on the switch so tricky! Do you have any tips or recommend PC for designing?

I've literally only just scratched the surface of this game, and I'm definitely needing tips on literally everything lol I think my animals are bugging out, because I can't feed them again. I fed the animals that were in the valley and plaza, but is that an actual bug? Or do I just need to feed every color of those animals once through, before I can do it a second time?
You can only feed an animal once a day
you can only feed one type of animal once a day!!! However i noticed that different colors allow me to feed the same species, it just cant be the same color you fed before
