Hands-down the best fishing channel on RUclips! Love everything you put out there! You’re a true sportsman, and a blessing to all the fishermen out there! Keep it up brother!
Kanalgratis has a lot of pike fishing content, both fly and hardware. Most of it is in Europe and some of it is in Swedish though. But NDYAK is still. The best.
I watch your videos when I can’t go fishing because they’re so calm and cool without cuts and music… it’s like we’re just chillin on a boat. Don’t ever change your format!
As others have said: NDYak's videos are a *very* welcome break from the tone and tenor of a lot of other fishing channels. I myself go fishing partly for the fish, yes, and the thrill of catching. But the other part is the quiet, and being out in the natural world. Here in Utah we have soaring mountains surrounding most of our reservoirs, lakes, and rivers. When I was on deployment to the Middle East, it taught me to appreciate the natural beauty of our American scenery. Fishing is therefore a sort of nature-induced depressurization, and NDyak's got the right vibe and voice for it. Quiet. Smooth. In tune with the water. Keep up the good work!
I want to catch a pike so badly. Stumbling upon your channel is a blessing. Love the videos. Great commentary. Nothing flashy. Just fishing. Will keep you updated. I've gotten a ton of lures and getting the correct poles and reels.
His videos just flat out relax the hell out of me. Makes me want pack mother in the truck and move to North Dakota. Great fishing and even greater videos. Thank you.
Another good video mate, perfect timing as well. Wife’s got her grandchildren over for the weekend so I’ll probably watch it again another 30 times before midnight lol
Finally get to see you struggle to land a fish! Well done! You always kill it! I've learned a few important things from you that has improved my fishing, thanks!
So jealous. As a man that loves fishing, but has no time anymore to do it, these videos feel me with both joy and sadness, but at least the few times I am able to go I am now teaching my kids how to fish and they are enjoying it (when they bite, the waiting around doing nothing part not so much!) but fingers crossed we can all keep passing down this great activity through the generations.
Thanks for the great video and some quality fish catches. You have some of the best videos to view for pike and smallmouth bass. Always a pleasure to watch. Looking forward to your next. Take care.
Ah, yes. The infamous "Tree-fish". Once hauled in a 35 pounder of that very species on ultra-light gear spooled with 6lb. Trilene xl! Thought I was for sure gonna lose the lure! lol
As a subscriber living in Tennesee .i have learned a lot by watching NDYakAngler. I just wanted to take the time to thank you for sharing your knowledge. Using a budget whopper plopper i landed my first Tennessee Musky . 37 inches long . Very pleased i have upgraded taclkle and getting ready to catch more.
09.31 I really hope I catch a big Pike today.......boom straight away a nice pike.....you never skunk (blank) think I'm guna buy one of those Savage Gear Swimbaits for sure 😎 tight lines man 🎣🐊😎💯🤟
I have a Bass X rod on the way. Med heavy spinning. I'm switching to that for my 1/2 oz. jigs. I can't set the hook with a baitcaster using bottom baits to save my life in my kayak. I've fished my entire life, but that just hardly ever ends well for me. No problem with moving baits. I'm enjoying this video.
Love your fishing videos, very relaxing and enjoyable! The best out there. Would like to see you measure the bigger Pike. It would be nice to know their length.
Thanks! I always get nervous about trying to measure them against my paddle ruler, it’s tough to get an accurate measurement and half the time those angry pike flop off my lap and into the water before I can get them lined up straight. There’s not much room for error in a kayak. If I get one I think might be 40”+ I’d probably have to try.
@@ndyakangler Matt, Tyrant makes a soft vinyl folding bump board. Downside is you pretty much have to go to shore to use it. The hard plastic bump boards are the best but take up a lot of space.
@@ndyakangler how would a measuring sticker on the side of the kayak work? True, it may not give a true exact measurement, but should be able to get a good estimate and it wouldn't take up any extra space in the kayak. Just a thought.
The white and red rattle trap is my favorite pike killer…. Up here in the finger lakes region of NY the pike cant resist them…. Pike are awesome sport fish…. Curious, fearless and aggressive
Would you do a video once the lakes freeze over of retrieval techniques? Maybe video a silhouette of you and your rod, with a breakdown of what you're doing for each bait. Either way, Thank you for all that you do share.
You might want to look into the Deps Slide Swimmer in 145 and 175 (in used condition so they don't cost you a fortune). Really good glide baits for bass and pike.
Your videos are by far some of my favorites! I Pray that I can one day small mouth fish in your area! I also went to Tackle Warehouse and picked up a Golden Shiner and a Perch Savage Gear 4 Play swim bait that I can't wait to try out!
The tameness of those big pike amaze me. I enjoy targeting their smaller American relative, the chain pickerel, here in CT. Chain pickerel hardly ever stay still when I land them, requiring caution about any hooks. They can also get shake as I hold them tight be the head and gills.
They seem to be a little more tame when the water is cold. I’ve had plenty of big pike thrash out of my hands though, the biggest one I caught this year flopped overboard as I was pulling it out of my net and was about to hold it up for the camera in front of me. It poked me pretty good with one of its teeth on its way out of my hands too.
Always a pleasure watching your videos. You caught some nice ones. I'm in Eastern Iowa, and our time for getting out on the water is short now as well. Thanks for the video.
Another great collection of quality pike. I never would have guessed South Dakota had such good fishing 'til I started watching your videos. You should get paid by the tourist bureau cause you're gonna start to bring fishing to that state!
I love your channel.. great fishing as always.. Ive taking countless fishing trips with my canoe in northern Canada during the 70.s and 80.s ..They Albany river, Attapiskat, Sutton river. Moose river and fished some amazing lakes. I never used a net and caught many pike 25 -30 lbs also clipping off one of the treble hooks or shaving of one or two of the barbs on each treble.. the releases were always vibrant and effortless. Just a recommendation.. thx
Looks like ya'll really got some nasty weather haha. Hopefully there will be a warmup so you can get back out on the Yak again. If not, I'm sure we'll heard from you doing some ice fishing haha. Thanks for letting us tag along. God bless!
It isn't that close to him - probably took him 2-4 hours driving to get there. That's why he is alone on that tiny slough lake pulling up quality fish.
you should come up to the st. croix river this winter for some sturgeon! I know it's practically across minnesota for you but sturgeon are a blast! they peak around the end of fall, but ice fishing can also be pretty productive. you should check it out!
Hey if you ever get the sudden urge to go pan fishing there’s a lake in northern Minnesota called lake Wilkins, in the back of the lake there’s a little bridge you can’t get past without a kayak and there are huge panfish and pike. Just something I thought you should try out I have a cabin on that back lake.
those waves dont look as big when you"re pointed down wind, but once you start paddling upwind they look almost like whitecaps lol🤷♂️😛 NDYakAngler - I'll cast an see if they might be out deeper.. *half a cast reeled in* - Nope, they aint out deep... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 that last blonde pike was a chunky beast... glad your touchin em an im not lol.. great stuff mang 😎👍
i have never had any interest in traveling to North Dakota until I started watching your videos
Same planning a trip this summer
Petrified forest in Medora ND
Or the teddy Roosevelt national preserve are some of the most unique in the country.
On god I’m deff going to hunt pike there 🙏🏽
Good freaking luck with that!
Haha same i would like to go eneywhere up north.
So nice to hear the soothing voice of a relaxed man enjoying the great outdoors. I needed a break from the mayhem.
Amen to that my friend!!! This world is bat shit crazier daily!!! God have Mercy on us all!!! Boom fish on!!!
I'm sure you've heard this before...you're like the Bob Ross of fishing! Love your videos.
If he starts calling them “Happy little fish”, I will lose it! 🤣🤣🤣
#EverySingleVideo
This is the best fishing channel on RUclips. I watch this more than any other and buy more products because of what NDYakAngler uses in his videos.
St. Croix babyy

Today after launching my boat, after a few stokes of paddle, I spontaneously said "Howdy everyone". :)
Great video again!!!
Man this makes me want to go out today for some pike up north here in Canada! Great video man
Hands down best, realest and most enjoyable fishing content. No unnecessary yelling or fussing.

I love watching these videos you have the most relaxing voice helps me doze off to sleep 😂 watching from Ireland 🇮🇪
My favourite fishing RUclipsr , love the calmness and sense of humour. Watching from Australia
Also my favourite. Watching from Spain.
Even the softest voice can't disguise the adrenaline rush. The shaky hands revealed it 😉. Nice video as always 😊👍
Its so nice to just listen to that calm voice while fishing.
I bet a lot of us would love to see a live stream of you fishing any time of the year
Your videos are awesome you voice is so calm and soothing have a great day
Excellent video, combination of Outdoor beauty and soothing AMSR…
Thanks for the great video and some quality fish catches. You have some of the best videos to view for pike and smallmouth bass. Always a pleasure to watch. Looking forward to your next. Take care.

your casting technoque is like one of those shaolin monks ... its perfectly flows with the nature and the cosmos. The monk fisherman!
