Breathtaking. Absolutely stunning. You sir, are a very talented individual… Can’t imagine how much you charged for that piece. Whatever it was, it wasn’t enough!
I think this is my favorite video on youtube EVER! Your attention to detail, painting skills, and carving skills just leave me speechless. It is a beautiful piece of functioning art Mikko!
Mikko, I have watched silently for a long time. This SHOULD leave me speechless. Alas, I have to shout this one out: BRILLIANT! From a Northman who appreciates the beauty, thank you for your generosity.
your attention to detail and your patience in following through getting all those little details done is awe inspiring! incredible. thank you, this is a beautiful piece.
What ???? No catch and cook on this??? Oh....the humanity!!!!! Great build as usual.... Excellence is deemed complacent on this channel....(unfortunately....) You sir, are gifted more than most!!!
Superbly done! I really love the idea of using discs of the same wood type to seal the lead holes to make them blend into the blank. Truly well done! 👏👏👏
You've done a terrific job on this project. Your attention to detail is phenomenal. Outstanding work!Instead of using this lure, You should mount it and hang it somewhere. Unreal. 🧐🌲👍
Hej Mikko, you made an awesome piece of art. Wonderful paintjob and so many details. Best moment is, when the epoxy is applied and the colors starts to live...
A great hour of youtube. Such an amazing and beautiful piece of art/bait. Your talent is always evolving and improving. You never fail to impress. 🖤🖤🖤 black metal hearts
Absolutely beautiful piece of word. Thank you for sharing. Can I ask a question, what type of wood did you use? Was it bass wood or lime wood Thanks Pete
Nice video I do my joint cuts different , might work for you also I do the layout lines onto the block of wood I then use the band saw miter gauge I clamp the wood block to the miter gauge and cut the joints before I cut on the layout lines I find this is way easier to get perfect joints quickly As I tend to make 12 or more of a lure at a time
Its Really a bait or a fine sculpture. Cause I don´t see any other use tha sea fishing with that size. But to catch what. Anyway you are a genious doing that stuff.
That's the most well custom fish bait I ever seen! Wow! Bahasa Indonesia: Ini adalah bikinan umpan ikan yang paling baik! Waw! -Bandung, Indonesia (And I love Canada btw :3 )
Oh man. I'm dying laughing and it is paused at 0:04. As the thumbnail fully settled into my brain: What is he throwing this with? A Telephone Pole? He could only possibly troll that. What is he fishing for with a freshwater lure that size? [cue Godzilla by Blue Oyster]
Great work. It is awesome but i cant imagine putting all that work into carving the scales and then putting so much apoxy on it that all that detail is lost.
Another tip, with the plugs try putting a very slight angle/taper on them that way you’re pretty much guaranteed to make 100% contact even if the plug is slightly oversized
Ive started on my shark lure! Its 16 inches (just the body) and it will be around 20 inches with the fins and joints and you are my inspiration! So thanks for that
For a real good pike spot yellow, mix white and your yellow till its a nices "off white" where you can see it looks yeller. It looks killer either way!
they actually make wood burner tips for carving realistic you could easily invest in one in time spent would pay for it's self in the first use. oh yeah I'm actually commenting on the carving of scales.
Its an honor and a privilege to be the owner of this miraculous bait. Second to none!
I was thinking this build was insane while watching the video, then i've saw you HAND CARVE TRILLIONS OF SCALES into it.Speechless.
The size of that lure is the size of pikes we quite often take home for dinner. You did a hell of a job making that lure. Absolutely great.
Same here lol
You're not the only one! It's larger than pretty much ANY fish I've ever caught...and I'm not upset by that. At all. Okay, maybe a little...
Fantastic work on the giant pike swimbait. Paint job is unreal 👌
I don't know how someone would ever top this. And I'm not just talking about fishing lures. Amazing!!
I'm sure somebody will, could be even me, I have some plans already cooking 😉
This is like painting the Mona Lisa and putting some hooks on it and calling it a lure. 😂
Beautiful Work!!
Wow, man. Just wow. I'm blown away by the realism- and the action.
Breathtaking. Absolutely stunning. You sir, are a very talented individual… Can’t imagine how much you charged for that piece. Whatever it was, it wasn’t enough!
Thanks, im still pretty stoked how it turned out.

This is one I've been looking forward to seeing since the teaser video. Just incredible work as always Mikko!
really genius in terms of carving and this is all the result of senior's long experience

That's totally amazing! Detail is always next level with you!
Hell yes! My favorite lure maker back at it. Been waiting on this one!
impressive - you've caught the essential character of the pike - well done
Superbly done! I really love the idea of using discs of the same wood type to seal the lead holes to make them blend into the blank. Truly well done! 👏👏👏
These are exactly what I was wanting and needing for my fishing adventures!
Amazing work Mikko!!! Let's get some 3d printed gears for ya hahaha
Your work is always so beautiful and so over the top detailed, thanks for sharing your methods and trade secrets.
Amazing craftsmanship!! When do we see the epic solar/marlin bait collab? I think I am gonna harass you two until you make it happen...
Well I watched this in full 3 time's. You definitely are the master lol. Such impeccable work. Truly an artist!!!
Great job man 👍👍found you on reddit about a year ago, you've inspired so many including me.
You've done a terrific job on this project. Your attention to detail is phenomenal.
Outstanding work!Instead of using this lure, You should mount it and hang it somewhere. Unreal. 🧐🌲👍
The customer has it mounted in his office
@@SolarfallBaits Your work speaks with detail. Great video!🧐🌲👍
You have to be pretty proud of how this one turned out. Love it
Absolutely incredible artwork!! Glad to see you back!!

Awesome video! If you liked using the hand plane then I really think you’d like using a spoke shave! Great woodworking tool to have
Been meaning to make myself a spoke shave actually.
Amazing work. Been following your for 2 years or so now. Beautiful piece.
Thanks Chris 🤟
Those scales! Your a crazy person. Beautiful
Absolutely beautiful piece of word.
Thank you for sharing.
Can I ask a question, what type of wood did you use? Was it bass wood or lime wood
Thanks

@@peterdobrijevic3107 thank you, like i mentioned in the video i used basswood.
Pretty cool lure. Great job, Mikko.
That thing is beautiful mounted in a nice lexan case and leave it on a Shelf
Brother, you are incredibly talented. I know that's made for fishing but I'd love to have something like that in my office space incredible artwork.
Incredible man! I’d love to see a musky caught on this
Nice video

yes!!! Ive Been Looking forward to seeing this video! Thanks Mikko!
Amazing work 🔥
No more words needed!
Awesome! The lure looks incredible good. Its fascinate me... I think i should start to make some lures too. Really inspiring. Thank you.
You crazy man, insane details 🔥🔥
Its Really a bait or a fine sculpture. Cause I don´t see any other use tha sea fishing with that size. But to catch what.
Anyway you are a genious doing that stuff.
its really more of a display piece. but muskie might hit.
A swivel for the hook attachment would be a good thing too, at a lure of this size. 😊
Super super bro 💕 what a beautiful work.
It wants to swim even on that short distantance 👍 Amazing amount of work went into that. Great result 👍👍
That's the most well custom fish bait I ever seen! Wow!
Bahasa Indonesia: Ini adalah bikinan umpan ikan yang paling baik! Waw!

(And I love Canada btw :3 )
Thank you for checking out the video 😉
That is an amazing lure! I envy your carving and airbrushing skills. What block plane did you use?
It's an old Stanley
It's finally here, it'll take a while to get through this video but I want to see the whole process
You should make a chisel set but the handles of the chisels are actual lures (without hooks of course) That would be so cool!
What an amazing project! Very well done! 👏🏻
masterpiece!
could you please mention codes of epoxy at the end of video for coating ?
@@user-ou8fe1vb9u true coat epoxy

Nice lure. Just thoghts.
Great work. It is awesome but i cant imagine putting all that work into carving the scales and then putting so much apoxy on it that all that detail is lost.
You can still see the detail under the epoxy
You should make a video of the action of the lure aswell. 🙌
Another tip, with the plugs try putting a very slight angle/taper on them that way you’re pretty much guaranteed to make 100% contact even if the plug is slightly oversized
That's actually what I did but failed to mention in the video
impressive work, amazing result !! masterpiece
New zealand isnt on your world mat! LOL Awesome video!

Amazing work on this big lure
Totally an amazing piece of work 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 what talent 🎣🍻
Beautiful lure, great job making it.
Awesome work!
Has it been fished whit? 😁
That is amazing, a true work of art!
Do you intend on actually using this as a bait or more as an art piece?
The fellow who bought it from me is using it as a display piece
Nice lookin pike, I'd make a smaller lure to catch dinner with your skills.
I got paid to make it this big, so now I can pay for my dinner instead catching it.
@@SolarfallBaits That works, too. Trading a skill for a dinner is wise.
I'm just wondering what kind of monster you'd be able to catch with this
A big one 😅
Its no lure , its like art, very good job
Hey I just wanted to know what kind of fish you could catch with the beast you have created
Probably muskie would go for something of this caliber
How to you get epoxy to stick to the sharp edges in the joints?
By doing very thin layers when I applied the epoxy.
That's a really nice lure
You are truly an artist.
Exquisite piece of art. It swims well too.
Superb, What kind of wood do you do this with?
I mentioned it several times in the video.
@@SolarfallBaits Sorry, my english comprehension is not better :o(
Man, you are a true master!
I want to see you fish with it!
What an amazing bait! Makes me want to try this once!
Truly a work of art
Ampullae of Lorenzini I believe is what the sensory pores that detect electromagnetic fields are called. Like found on sharks. Could be wrong.
Wow very nice very talented 👍🎣
Looks fantastic solar.
Excellent travail incroyable ou peut on l’acheter et à quel prix 😅?
It was a custom order. The price was arm and a leg
Mdr oui j’imagine bien 😂
Your lures are so cool good job
If you ever travel to Canada. I can bring you fishing for something better then fishing for pike. I do enjoy fishing for for pike too.
@@jayhallenborg2354 I’ve actually lived in Calgary for about 5 years now. The trout fishing is pretty phenomenal here but i still prefer pike
I've had a think about it. I don't think I could catch a barramundi on that one 🤣
Simply stunning 👏🏻
Best Wood for Baits is Paulownia or Blauglockenbaum. Cheap, extrem floating and sucks no water. Its like balsa wood but mutch stronger.
too bad that wood is not really available where I'm at. to be honest this is the first time i've heard of it.
For a real good pike spot yellow, mix white and your yellow till its a nices "off white" where you can see it looks yeller. It looks killer either way!
Yeah there is so much variation with pike markings that it's hard to get it totally wrong
Amazing piece.
Awesome, simply awesome. ❤
make a marlin please, I am planning to make one myself but never started...
Respect Maestro! Bravo!!!
Phenomenal work!!
im hoping that this video comes out every time i open youtube
