Mature "wild" trees and bushes ( no planting black square under ) can make a seedling on an empty adjascent fertile square. The stumps prevent regrowth.
On your next restart, build a water wheel and industry down below next to the forester. Maybe use the mod that allows for larger ranges/districts? One forester can plant almost anywhere.

Yea I know
A good trick for some of these challenges. Build dams to flood the map periodically. Fill in any pools you can. Requires micromanaging.

I am not giving up, yet 😅 I will suffer in what I made for myself until I succeed or everyone dies
I hate dam tiles, replace them with floodgates to save 30% more water. Plus you have green land with nothing growing on it. This one looks HARD.
Yea I hve made some mistakes but I am slowly recovering from them 😅 and Yes it is HARD and it will only get harder with those 50 days droughts
Hardest map I've played on hard was "collapsed dam"
Maybe try and levee off the closest bad water source. It would reduce the range of the contamination, and redirect it away from your land
Yep, I will try as soon as posible. Now with more logs it shouldn’t be that hard.
50 days, this should be fun, lol. I've gotten a 30 day drought after cycle 9 before.
My thoughts exactly when I was setting up this madness 😅
I think you are going to have to grow slow, stockpile food water.
Very slowly and painfully
