    ✔️ Superb Rendition
    ✔️ Not a single mistake
    ✔️ No coughing
    If you had played me just the audio and said it was a studio recording, I would have believed you. It’s hard to fathom how a performance of this caliber was recorded in an international competition such as this. Truly a one-of-a-kind video we have here.

    Amazing rendition, surprisingly free, fresh and flexible. I think Bozhanov's mazurkas and this Rondo have been probably the strongest artistic achievements of all the Chopin competition 2010, giving us much, much more in understanding Chopin's style than the competition winner.

    This guy is really a genius. His performance of this at the Cliburn a year earlier is probably the most astonishing competition performance I've ever heard. Like listening to one of the greats from the past.

    • @fredfeinberg3995
      @fredfeinberg3995 5 лет назад +3

      He was essentially tied all the way through, then didn't come through in the Concerto, and the jury inexplicably decided to ignore the scores from all prior rounds. It made NO sense. I have all the scores. He should have come second overall, but came fourth, which is absurd.

      @@HelsyV2 Avdeeva and Bozhanov were essentially tied all the way through. She was the official winner, and would have won regardless. But who has become the most famous? Trifonov, who came third.

  • @harrybaung3011
    @harrybaung3011 2 года назад

    Bozhanov is the more aggressive percussive player than Trifonov, but Trifonov is more quiet, flowing and graceful. I liked Bozhanov's take on this rondo better than Trifonov's, but Trifonov has a better foundation to work some real magic.
