    This made a lot of sense with the Cattle panels I never thought of that was it hard to bow over? I work with at-risk youth and as I keep them in the garden and teaching them to plate, harvest, prep, and cook they have no problem with eating and sharing to the court system their change. My next idea was put up a greenhouse for those winter months and during summer camp. I think this will hold longer than plastic pipes.

      @@HeirloomPermaculture How is it holding up? I'm concerned about the wind taking the whole thing or tearing up the plastic. Do you think if the end posts were 4x4's set several feet deep in concrete that it would stay put? Do you know anyone near Seminole, OK I could hire to build me one of these? I am short, so I don't need the roof higher like yours.

    • @HeirloomPermaculture
      @HeirloomPermaculture  5 лет назад +1

      @@Growmap The greenhouse is holding up great so far. It is somewhat sheltered from wide open winds, so that helps. But, it still gets exposed to storm winds. We considered anchoring it down, but have not seen any need to so far. As long as the door and window are closed for storms, the wind kinda flows over it instead of getting in it and lifting. Look up OOLA and Farming group on Facebook. There are several OKC area market gardeners who look for off-season projects that might build you one. Thanks!

    • @HeirloomPermaculture
      @HeirloomPermaculture  5 лет назад

      @@Growmap None of the openings are screened, so if anything is open bugs can get in. but we haven't experienced any pest problems. We haven't had any critter issues thus far either. With the window up high and the bottom sides open, it creates a very nice updraft. Much better circulation that in one end and out the other. We still leave the door open on really hot days but it is more susceptible to the wind catching it and causing damage.
