I went to culinary school and my instructor was essentially a master chef, not actually a certified master chef but Had all the requirements just didn’t want to take the time to go and get the certification.
He taught me to make biscuits almost exactly this way, the only difference is i learned 3-2-1 so that’s 3 Cups flour 2 sticks butter 1 cup milk. But all the techniques were exactly as demonstrated here for the most part. The point is not all recipes have to be complicated to be amazing, 3 ingredients biscuits if made properly will be the best biscuits you’ve ever had I can almost guarantee it.

2 cups of self rising flour
    1 stick of butter
    1 cup of buttermilk
FYI-You can also make buttermilk by adding 1 tablespoon of vinegar to a cup of( your choice milk) let it sit for about 30 minutes . All purpose flour is ok if you add baking soda and baking powder to your mix depends on preference for dense or fluffy biscuits.

Ma'am! I'm so mad at you that I haven't seen this video until now. I made these biscuits this morning and they were a HIT! My 3 yr old ate three of them in 5 minutes lol. They were so good! And I have never made biscuits before. Thank you!

I can’t believe how good these came out, yummy, super effortless, flaky, soft, and a little crunchy. The only downside it was a little sour i assume because of the butter milk ☺️❤️

Divas really CAN cook LOL! I made yours and WOW, I think you use more butter than most but….OMGosh…. They’re the Bomb! crunchy on the outside, tender and moist on inside, I did 450 for 13 min on a baking stone, had a kiss of gold on top, made honey butter to slather on, won’t use any other recipe…. Thank you my friend!

Thank you. My mamaw taught me to make biscuits 20 years ago. I wanted to have her show me again but she passed away before I had the chance. She used fat or shortening in place of butter, but I pulled up your recipe and see the notes about using it (as well as both if desired). So, thank you so much. I look forward to trying the butter version but also (hopefully) recreating the taste of my grandmother's version. ❤❤

New to me - self-rising flour, ungreased pan, and them touching one another!!! Well done. And many thanks indeed.
