    You may not know this, but this is EXACTLY how this should be explained to English students on when to use "who" or "whom". I am ashamed to say that most English speakers have begun to ignore "whom" as too tedious, sadly.

    Wow, I just found a simpler way to understand this. I used to differentiate between "que" and "qui" based on whether the relative clause has its own subject besides the pronoun or if the relative pronoun itself is the subject.

    Thank you for this. Can you do a second video that goes more indepth with the differences between when to use "que, qui, dont & lequel"? "Qui" can replace the subject or the indirect object and it is the latter that I struggle with!

    Wow.. awesome explanation. Finally I understand the Qui and Que on a sentence. Although this could be easy to me since I am Brazilian and we speak Portuguêse which is similar to French grammar, I never new how to use those.

    Thank you for that clear explanation, in English the “qui” and “que” are often missing, “ The people we met yesterday were nice” is a more likely phrase, I slipped up often wrestling with this in French 🤣

    Don't forget the word "dont" which is used for sentences with feelings such as ones that would include "avoir" like words for "love, anger, fear, etc"

    This has (a probably always will be) a stumbling block for me.
    I remember my French teacher trying to explain it to me and it just not going in, however when tested and I spoke I always used it correctly, so maybe for me it just sounds right and if you use que instead of qui it just sounds wrong.
    This was a really clear explanation though, very much appreciated. Thank you.
