Thank you. How to think on r&d level what is value and waste there?

You still conduct work even in an R&D environment. There are processes, and there is value/waste in them. But it applies not only to experimental protocols (which may actually be low repetition). You’ll have to learn to see waste vs value in your day-to-day work. Admin processes. Effective and efficient (i.e. not wasteful communication and collaboration). Waste-free review and approval processes. Never searching for information, tools, input, supplies, approvals, etc. Strive to make what you need available in a timely manner and on-demand.
