Al Stewart is timeless.
Who else thinks that in this post-Covid age listening to Mr Stewart is calming AND addictive? All I've listened to in the last week or so - Al's old albums and his RUclips concerts. This one might be the best.
I've been a fan since I was a schoolboy in the sixties. I was raised on "you should've listened to Al" and his epic "love chronicles"
Love it . Peter's guitar solo. Such a cool song .
I went to school with Peter White lovely guy and hugely talented. His Smooth Jazz music which is his latest work is fab - listen to Venice Beach....wonderful...
Me and my 3 cats are laying in a pile listening to this...Thank you so much...
They really wanted to hear "Year of the Cat"...lol
Haha I'm glad you're all enjoying it Daniel!
What a setlist- captures the best of the best of Al's a catalog- plus with Peter it's
a musical double whammy. Al Stewart always selected, captured, magnified points
of time for me- like a book companion delving deeper meaning. "But the drum beat
strains of the night remain, and the rhythm of the new born day..."
Thank you for watching I'm glad you enjoyed it!
@@petersonlafollette3521 For the record I am not Al, I am a 38 year old computer programmer from Northern Ireland! i.e. just a fan I'm afraid....Al doesn't really engage with social media which is a shame for the fans but also a choice I completely understand on his part.
WHO does these archives- quite literate, that is why I thought it
was Al on the sly- he owned a book store in L.A. or did...
His melodic sense is up there with the Beach Boys, Abba, Beatles and Bee Gees. The old ALdmiral is one of a kind (and Peter is simply gifted too).
Peter White is a great musician purely fantastic
Notice how he takes a second chair and defers to Al- no small feat. Unreal chemistry,
dynamics between these two musical greats- love the On the Border flamenco guitar.
@@petersonlafollette3521 They produced some magical stuff.
He is brilliant. I like his smooth jazz live concerts now he is in the States
First became aware of Al when my older brother bought Bedsitter images in a record shop closing down sale (because it credited Jimmy Page on guitar) and was hooked. Saw Al several times live in the 70's in Leamington, Reading and other towns (and I seem to remember a festival in Weeley ?) and became a big fan of his music for the rest of my life. Favourite Album ? Zero She Flies.
Wonderfull
Que artista más completo es Al. Solo había escuchado dos canciones suyas..Me llama la atención los japoneses no aplauden ? No bailan ? No gritan? Que raro es como si estuviesen tocando en un estudio sin público . Los japoneses deberían relajarse más 😅. Julio 2024, Lima Perú.
Only time I've ever hear Timeless Skies played live. Very special.
Ah good point Jack, maybe I should release just that song as a video since it’s a rarer one.
I saw this tour in Bradford UK - it was the first time of many that I went to see Al live, and honestly it is still the best ever ;) Cheers !

GREAT

Magnifique
来日の時に行ってましたよ!懐かしいね。アルが 若いね!
はい、それはずっと前のことです!アルの人生のこの時期からのショーを見るのは素晴らしいことです。
USTED con 50 también joven ES
Wow! Great concert and Peter can play so many instruments. I'm sure he'll love it! Thank you for sharing David! (Y)
Yes it's good to get a 'new' gig to watch at a time when we're not able to go to concerts isn't it! I hope you enjoy!
@@TheAlStewartArchives , absolutely. Bad for me too, being music my only job.... (Y)
Classic
Oh wow, like a granted wish: Peter doing "End of the Day" soi-meme!!
It was pretty amazing.
Thank you for sharing this performance. :)
Grazie per la condivisione David. Cercavo questo video da anni.
David, kudos for posting this. Beauty needs to shared, it motivates more beauty. Peter posted another clip of yours to his Facebook page. How I found the longer version. Thanks.
Yes Peter is always very generous with his time on Facebook and is always happy to answer fan questions, which I am extremely grateful for. I was happy to see he's enjoyed a few of my videos. Here's hoping more 'unseen' material like this crops up in the future.
My apologies for deleting my previous comments on this great concert, it's just that I was a bit overwhelmed by being so overly expressive and it was a bit out of place, but I'm still a stalwart of Al Stewart and Peter White.
No problem with being full-throated with one's praise of this underrated icon.
Is this the show that became part of the Rhymes in Rooms CD? I was in the audience for the Birchmere part of that CD.
I think it might be from the same tour!
Where is the rest of the band
No vapour trails in 1917 - no jets
Well at least if he commits a crime, he won't have left any kind of vapor trail...
@@jdm711 That bothered me the first time I heard it too. As Al is such a historian.
