Unfortunate that this has been in development for so long, but over the years I've checked on its progress every few months. I like what I see and hear.
That's lame. They don't take criticism very well. It's probably why they lost support from their publisher. It was supposed to ship over four years ago in 2020. I can't imagine they have much funding left at this point. Will they still be able to manufacturer enough physical copies to fulfill orders for everyone who prepaid six years ago? They really need to be 100% transparent with what's going on. Instead of banning people who ask, and telling people to keep their concerns to themselves.
@@videogameobsession that kind of action should be a red flag. The backers deserve to know where the game's at in development stage because it's the backer's money that pay for this game's development. So for them to ban backers from asking those questions, and the fact that this game is late on it's release date, is a tell tale sign that this is a scam.
Love this but almost forget about it. I though the game will be more hack and slash not a one swing dead enemy type. But still look great tho, like NeoGeo era
You can't. This was a Kickstarted game from over six years ago. It raised $85K, and was supposed to be released in 2020. They have since lost their publisher, but have said they are still working on the game. No release date was mentioned as far as I know.
So it's just plowing through weaker enemies and attack, attack, roll repeat for enemies that give resistance? As nice as the game looks I would get bored of this after about 20 minutes of that kind of mundane gameplay. Add a block button or something, maybe some kind of parry system to make the game more skillful.
In a game like this, I imagine it would come down to level design. I mean, games like this have existed and thrived for almost a century. Hagane, Shinobi 1, 2 and 3, the original Ninja Gaiden games, Strider, more recently, The Messenger, all games where you just attack and dodge. Often it's the level design that carries them, making traversal part of the challenge, and then making the player juggle traversal while fighting enemies. Even better if there's a few scripted events, like fighting enemies atop a moving plane or while while running from an advancing wall of fire. I think that will play a big role in the game's reception when it's finished.
@@sageoftruth Which is exactly why I would love to see a switch up to the formular a bit even more. So many indie devs have the tools to make their game stand out from the crowd but rather play it safe following already treaded paths. Level design aside, if I'm going to be running down long narrow paths with occasional vertical traveling at least make the combat more engaging. It looks silly constantly rolling from side to side after every 2 or 3 hit combo and repeating it over and over again.
Thank you for the cool video! You're really good at this!
I am SO excited for this one and Iron Meat as well.
The gameplay looks fantastic!
Game looks amazing can't wait for my back or copy physically to arrive

Fellow Bushiden backer here. This is some very impressive gameplay. Nice work!
man this looks so sick.
Game looks awesome
Great music 😎
I never ever believed that this game would ever come out. They also blocked me everywhere, albeit I'm a backer of this game.
Kickstarter game campaigns have done us dirty too many times, but at least it looks like this game might really come out.
It's not out yet. They blocked you? Why?
@@videogameobsession Because I dared to ask them on Twitter about the state of the production (that was years ago already)

Some of the enemies have a streeets of rage look to them
PS4 backer here. Gameplay looks fluid and genuinly fun to play. Hoping for a way to change the hair or at least put on some armor/helmet
A helmet?
Beautiful looking game. Sadly we probably won't be seeing a release date any time soon. Probably be 2026 when it gets released.
Cause bad management and financial issues

Aye, its a shame.
Reminds me of ninja gaiden from the nes times
I guess that they must set the save room to also recovery full health or implement save points.

There are different enemy types, and most take multiple hits. Combat really feels good, trust me!
looks really good but looks like its missing a downward stab (zelda2) and synthwave music. or add some electric guitar
Where to preorder this game??

So repetitive I hope it doesn’t come out
