Thanks man, I appreciate the comment. The one dude I was constantly calling out to named Mikey, today is actually a decent stand up surfer. He didn’t make it out on this particular day but there’s been plenty of bigger days lately that he has. Proof that consistency pays off
@@freedom4surfers777 Yes I have. For comparison here’s a go pro video of waves that are bigger than those in your video and but still aren’t 6-7 feet. Maybe 5 feet ruclips.net/video/tQaI-1gMeww/видео.html I’ve been on 6 and 7 foot waves before and they’re so intense it’s like riding a moving mountain and you get thrown like a rag doll especially when it’s choppy which it looks like it is there. And duck diving on 6-7 footers is virtually impossible. You get sucked down and thrown like a washing machine not knowing which way is up for a good 7-10 seconds. You almost feel like you’re going to drown.
Any advice for someone's who's learning, but there's noone that body boards around. And no school or anything. I'm just going out when it's calm at the moment
Use flippers always Duck dive everything Only jump off board when it is about to break on your head When catching a wave do your best to stay in front of it in the bowl shaped area Have fun!
A very realistic portrayal of what it's like to be out there especially for a beginner like me.
This video made my day lmao “6-7 ft” I’m dead😭😭
Thanks man, There was some big sets rolling through. It's supposed to be big again on Sunday, we will see!
mainlanders 😂
Great footage bro! But you look a bit tormented when killing it! It should be fun though! 🤪
Thanks dude, I guess I was a little worried about my friends out there. We haven't had a decent swell like this since 4th of July
@@freedom4surfers777 How's the big surf now?
I been learning this way too now I think I want to catch under the barrel and do some tricks too. I been trying to go against the wave.
You nailed it! I have been bodyboarding in the last 10 years. Your instructions are precise!
Wow there are not many videos out there that are as accurate as this. Well done
Thanks man. You bodyboard?
@@freedom4surfers777 yep I do In australia

Nice video of what it really is like, makes a great "instagram vs reality" type video!
