he looks good to me too! Love the suit but yeah, the iridescent blue is a but over the top. I think I can figure out something different to put in that backdrop if I decide to use it. He'll be a great addition to the collection
Most impressive about this figure is how the elbow rubber bends. Usually, you would see an ugly warping of the sculpt as the rubber un-naturally bends but here it's hidden by a muscle. Also, the elbow looks naturally pointed rather than flat. The elbow ratchet sounds strong and not too widely spaced. I wonder if it's metal underneath or not. I am excited to receive mine.
@@MajorGlory79 I hope it lives up to the hype. I heard other companies boast the use of medical grade silicone but as far as I'm concerned it is as good as it lasts in my collection. I decided to take the plunge because this thing looks as if it came right out of the comic page. I could not pass it up.
I don't think you need to cut the box. Just use a comic that you own. I'd guess that image in the box is so they include everything in the item photos and don't have to do a "*image not included" disclaimer on the item listing. I'd think most collectors could get hold of a Wolverine back issue.
I think the stand is fine if you have a comic cover that goes well with the figure. I’ve done that with other figures. But I like this figure he looks good
In the promo shots the claws were swappable between the sets of hands. Did they change this under the randar? Other than that it looks flippen awesome for the price point.
I hope Sideshow gets theirs shipped out soon. I think I might apply a mat finish to the gloves, trunks and boots. The shoulder pads should look metallic. Nice Review.
I think we have a problem because if something its not good we refer to the price to convince us that we deserve less for the money we pay. Happens with Hot Toys, Statues and all the toy world. I have the Sideshow Wolverine its not the best but I prefer that to this blue metallic paint version with the rubber G-string and boots from a Marvel Legends.
This looks pretty good. Love the head/face and arms. Overall, it still seems a bit tall, especially you have that Spider-man next to him. Still see him a bit more stocky. But otherwise, this is beautiful.
Wolverine definitely looks nice! I wish claws were removable or bought extra ones. And an unmasked head would’ve been cool. Yes blue should’ve been non metallic! Well I guess box is meant to be tossed! I’m not going to use that display plastic $#!t! I hope we get a bunch of Marvel characters! Let’s finish that X-Men line! I want gambit Colossus punisher daredevil Hulk!!! Wait villains too! Sabertooth Omega Red! King pin!
The fact that Hono Hot Toys encourages you to do a cut out of the box means you ought to throw them out. Unless they are the ones in the mainline like the artbox of a deluxe Batman, you got to think twice on ruining that.
I saw a video where someone said this wolverine won’t fit in with a hot toys collection, I will be sending them just the thumbnail for this video disprove that theory that looks really good
Not to be a stickler but... there's unfinished paint on his left foot where the black line of his boot meets the rubber sole... hope mine doesn't arrive this way
I really hope Hono does DC characters at some point. This looks great
I'd love to see Hono go nuts with this line, not just the same "core" characters...
They will no doubt chase the money

prototype pics showed you could move the claws between hands. I would have liked to keep that bit. So he had just a fist, or an open had with claws
Can we get a Hono Captain America now!
yes!
AGREED. And a Hono Frank Castle as well, in the traditional costume with a huge white skull, white boots, and white gloves. And a crapload of weapons.
@@coreyc5982 Cable & Bishop bro, those carry a truck load of crazy weapons.

I don't believe it's a metal endoskeleton. I do think it's well made
Yeah you just have to be careful and not leave those joints bent sharply too long or they can crack. Mine have been fine but I don't do action poses
They are using medical silicone for the skin, those used for human prosthetics. So they will withstand more abuse.

Really hope we get a Hulk figure from this line. Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash and Green Lantern would be awesome to see on the DC side.
This looks fantastic to me, the blue is over the top but I love it. Hopefully sideshow ships mine soon.
Good luck!

My only complaint is the shorts they shouldn’t have molded them. But happy I preordered
I could go along with that

That would be cool!
I was thinking about the matte finish that would be cool to see. Is sideshow usually months behind overseas or?
@@efsilva86 2-3 weeks has been my previous experiences.
Plan on doing the same thing with the matte finish. Looks like an amazing release to me, especially for the price
Thank you for this review, I'm happy I preordered him!!😁 l can't wait to put him with my Soosootoys Gambit & Rogue!
Good choice!
Man I hope someone in my local store gives up their pre-order. I want this thing! The way the arms look and move adds so much to the realism.
good luck!
Id love to see a collection room tour sometime soon
How many times did i try clean that little bit of dirt off my screen before i realised it was on your lovely table :-)
They need to continue with X-men. Would also be cool to see Deadpool, Captain America, Punisher, Daredevil

Where's my Hono Gambit? Cable? Psylocke? Hulk maybe?
Great unboxing, the illustrations piece within the box seems like a weird choice on the Hono Studio creative team…but I know I am excited
I totally agree!
Great review, Jedha. But I think he's missing the black stripe on his left toe joint.

Omg worried about the box lol

Looks like sideshow was right all along …… and now hot toys is copying the cool stuff sideshow is making
The issue with Sideshow its that they copy the Hot Toys price and not the quality. The only figure I bought from them was Wolverine and had problems.
@@dan3dprint183 yeah that’s true for sure. The prices are ridiculous …… hot toys included
I am glad I didn't buy this one
fair enough
