I bought an RX 5600XT and it's actually still pretty awesome for 1080p.

  • You don’t seem to see many of these around, mainly because they are over shadowed by their bigger sibling the RX 5700XT and Nvidia 20 series but the Radeon RX 5600XT does exist and it is the ultimate when it comes to 1080p gaming.

It's not underrated if you remember at the time some aib vendors were shipping the cards with old bios which made the cards perform worse than others.

it sucks cuz there is no official software support for deep learning projects
no one denies its way better for gamming
but gamers who can pay(most middle aged cod gamers type) want to tweak with ai along with gaming this card doesnt offer that

@@mesicek7 Wasn't a "fiasco" was it? Only the first 10,000 or so cards were affected, it was corrected a WEEK after launch, and every vendor put out a BIOS flash for their older models on their respective websites, giving a free 7-10% performance boost.
Every reviewer on RUclips, from GamersNexus to HardwareUnboxed, showed how amazing the card was in it's class. Costing 30% less than a 2060 yet being only 15% slower, and it destroyed Nvidias 1660 series at the same price point.
2060 was a dud anyways! £350 for a 2060 or £350 for a 5700XT? The AMD card destroyed the Nvidia card.
People who know, make the right decisions, and enjoyed FAR higher framerates for the same money by going 5700XT over 2060 and 5600XT over 1660.
      Simple as.

I have one and its been great, no issues at all. The features are really good, like the very overlooked Super Resolution where you can run your system in 4K and it scales it down to fit a 1080p monitor. It takes my 1080p monitor to another level with videos and games. Hardware Unboxed testing showed it 3-5% faster than the 2060. With FSR3 and frame generation coming soon and these cards selling under $100 used, its the best used GPU you can get right now.

Really not a bad card. Picked up one of these cards for about 85 bucks a month or 2 ago. So pretty much for a song. Was actually playing spider man remastered on it at 1440p with fsr 2.1 balanced I think. Rest of the pc is a ryzen 5 5500 32gb 3200 ram. I encountered several issues with the MSI 5600XT Mech OC. The primary concern was the out-of-the-box junction temperature and hotspot, which reached up to 110°C due to a factory fault. This was caused by thermal pads not covering the entire memory and being too thick, resulting in the processor not being properly seated on the heatsink.
Another issue was with the drivers on windows 11. The recent driver updates caused my screen to freeze while watching RUclips (I have premium and do not use adblocker), although I didn't encounter any problems during long hours of gaming.
It's been quite a headache for me to frequently resort to hard shutdowns for my PC.

We got the updated version (but the update AMD provided was basically just an overclock). We experienced a lot of random crashes, driver issues where they wouldn't respond, and problematic performance with a lot of stuttering in DX11 games. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Usually, you can find it at the price of a used RTX 2060, which has DLSS and produces a LOT more frames. Stay away from this card. The AMD 5000 series was terrible! Now I have a 3070TI and god..
