Amazing tutorials sir. Any plans on continuing this series with intro to Pyro fx, destruction, and other things like motion graphics, rendering and others please ? Your tutorials are very useful and informative.
Hello, I just finished your series "Houdini Introduction Serie". You did a great job. I am a C4D user. As it is possible to connect C4D and Houdini via Assets and Houdini is a fantastic software for special effects, I wanted to learn it. The discovery of your chain is a joy. The modeling of the objects is very different than de facto in C4D, but I could see the power. Your intro on the Assets allowed me to fully understand its usefulness, and the link with C4D. Thank you again and continue. Translated from French from Google Translate
I've watched the whole series from the beginning and it really helped me get started with Houdini. These were really quality lessons and it was obvious you thought it through and really knew what you wanted to teach us. Thanks alot!
Thank for tuts, I would ask I use custom curve to drive the placement of leg, but when i change position of curve points the position of legs didn't change. Another thing is when I edit the curve point, edit node occurs. Would you please explain this node? Thanks
Hey, when I'm drawing my curve, if I do it in perspective mode like you, the points don't stay at the grid's height. It draws the shape as though it's facing the camera.
Figured it out. I had the Construction Plane turned off. In newer versions of Houdini, there are two separate little icons for Grid and construction Plane
Hey, Unfortunatelly its in c4d cause I feel easier in there... BUT its python so changing a few things for the corresponding commands in Houdini wouldnt be that hard... at the moment i have finished the tree builders for hands legs with controllers for the fingers and im moving to the larger joint controllers, ill keep you posted )
+Andreas Kalpakides That's the best thing about python! I love the kind of integration it provides. And doesn't really matter what software you're working on mate, you are adding the CGI pool! :) I remember years ago when I touched C4D and it had blown my mind! Some really intuitive and out of the box tools. I was going to make some mograph assets in Houdini inspired by C4D actually.
Excellent series, can't wait for more! Thanks for taking the time to put this together! :)
+Ceonsamea Thanks mate! Glad you're liking it :)
Thank you for the series, learned loads of stuff. Awesome job!
