Its almost like sidefx produces videos to get you excited about the program before even recognizing a wide variety of key knowledge that one tutorial cannot provide. Ive gotten more out of these tuts then any on the map.
Would be nice to clarify the difference between object level and context... Most 3D apps don't have this kind of structure so it's a bit difficult to relate it... Seems like creating that platonic shape in object level would be like merging 2 shapes into a single geometry in a traditional 3D package...
This feels like a silly question, but how do you create a primitive without having to manually place it on the construction grid? I see you can hit enter over the 3d window to place it at 0,0,0, but I would like to simply click and auto place as it does in this video series. Thanks!
