Agreed. As much as its nice seeing her pick herself up and prioritise herself and her girls. I can believe its the hardest thing to deal with. After all its been almost a decade and its not just easy to forget and move on. And she can't just go back to a normal life because theres so much about her life thats different. Its not like she can erase all those years of her life, both the good and not so good. So much love to you Aspyn. It must be so hard to be going through your personal issue and have to show up and be the best mom for your kids, and im sure your doing an amzing job making the girls feel nothing but loved. Fruit flies lay eggs in your sink drains! Boil some water and dump it down your kitchen sink, I usually do it 2-3 times and the flies are gone!! Works great!

I am so proud of you aspyn. I went through it as well after giving birth with my 2nd child but ended up getting back with my husband with a few promises and adjustments that he needs to do to make us whole again as family. This was my in-laws beach house! Love what you did with it.
Put some apple cider vinegar in a little bowl, add a drop of dish soap to it, cover it with plastic wrap, and poke a few holes in the top. The flies go right in! That's been the best way that I've been able to catch fruit flies in my apartment. I refresh it every couple of days until the flies have all been caught.
You have been everything to me as a viewer. We were pregnant with 2 of our kids together, I’ve watched you grow into the amazing woman you’ve become. Hello. Put a couple of small bowls out. Fill them with white vinegar. Then put Saran Wrap on the top of bowls and tighten. Take a small sharp pointy object and punch three or so holes in the Saran Wrap. The holes should be small like small nail head size. The fruit flies will fly in and won’t be able to fly out. Works remarkably well. 😊 hope you’re feeling better soon. Remember to care for yourself: rest when you can, meditate or listen to calming music, take baths with lavender. Loves💖✨ 5:43
Boil water for your drain and you can always put out a jar of apple cider vinegar with a piece of plastic wrap on the top and poke holes in it to catch them. Also - Zevo brand has amazing plug in traps

Check every nook and cranny in your home for food that may be lying around, or if you have real plants, check that the soil isn't saturated with water! You can also try dumping boiling hot water down your drains, including the kitchen sink, bathroom tub, and sinks.
To catch the flies, leave a tall cup or container that has water mixed with half a tsp of sugar and half a cup of apple cider vinegar. Then, add two to three drops of dish soap.
The water and apple cider vinegar should attract the flies to the cup; they will fly in, get stuck because of the soap, and be unable to climb back up the tall walls of the glass or container.
You can swap the liquid every week (or few days) until the flies are gone! I used to do this when I lived in FL, and it worked like a charm, it just takes a little patience.
Just went through a renovation and was waiting on kitchen hardware- use painter tape! tape on the inside face of the drawer and tape it on to itself and leave it long over the front of the drawer so when you close the drawer you have a pull tab to open it!

Plastic wrap over a cup of vinegar- poke some small holes in the plastic wrap- the flies climb into the holes and can't get back out!
I use a Black Flag zapper for the flying bug problems, from Home Depot. The bugs usually let up once late fall arrives. Welcome to California.

The flies are likely from your plant soil. I am having the same issue right now. Put a small bowl with apple cider vinegar in three drops of dawn, dish soap. then sprinkle the soil with cinnamon. This technique is working very well currently for me!

The fruit flies might be coming from your sink. You can boil a small pot of water (4 cups or so) and then pour it down the drain, it should kill any fruit fly larvae in there. 💜
Tiny bowl with apple cider vinegar and dawn dish soap will catch fruit flies. Also clean all of your drains but pouring baking soda and then vinegar down them once it stops reacting pour boiling hot water from high up straight down the drain to flush it out. Also if you have plants spray the soil with neem oil.

We deal with this seasonally. We also live at the beach. We tried all of the drain cleaning and vinegar tricks and while they helped somewhat. We’ve found the best solution to be a Zevo. We only use it seasonally, but they been a game changer for us. The fruit flies and drain flies are SO pesky!!
Hey Aspyn.. For the fruit fly problem just put apple cider vinegar in a cup with a dash of dish soap on the counter and they will go into it. Plus they hate peppermint so you can use that too around the house for an all natural repellant. 😊
Fruit flies: Get a small bowl and add apple cider vinegar and a little dish soap to it. Cover with plastic wrap and then use a chopstick or something to poke small holes in the plastic. This smells sweet, attracts them, and they fall in and can't get out. It will work overnight and all the flies will be gone till next time. It's the warmer air! Warm weather causes food to go bad faster and that attracts the flies. This happens to us during summer in Seattle.
Fruit flies - try the boiling water down the drain some suggested (also could add a little vinegar). Then also leave a little cup out for a few days with some apple cider vinegar and something sweet like honey, plus a couple drops of dish soap. Helps to get rid of any scragglers. Not the cutest but then you’ll be rid of your problem ❤️❤️

The flies may be coming from your sink drain - this was the case for me when I moved into my house! Put baking soda and vinegar in the drain, let it bubble up and sit over night and see if that fixes the problem!!!
get the zevo light bug traps wall plug ins they work the best
They sell fly traps that you plug into an outlet at target! I use it to catch most of them and also clean my trash can & sink drain! They lay eggs so sometimes it’s hard lol.

Fill your sink or a bowl with dishsoap and ACV and leave it overnight. Vinegar attracts the flys and dishsoap traps them in the water. Works every time!
Get the plug in with the blue light that catches the bugs on a sticky thing! It’s called ZEVO! We just got it and it has caught SO many bugs. 10/10 Costco has a double pack with sticky refills!
As hideous as the zevo traps are, they work! We go out if town all the time and for some reason that is when fruit flies multiply in our house, but for the last year I've been using those plug in lights and they've been a lifesaver!

Zeevo for fruit flies! I plugged one in near our trash and have not had a problem since. It’s a little blue light with a sticky pad that plugs into any outlet
For the fruit flies: apple cider vinegar, dish soap, and baking soda mix down drain, let it sit overnight, and pour boiling water down in the morning! The vinegar attracts them and the soap gets them stuck!
For the soup dumplings I put them in the microwave on a plate with a wet paper towel over them bc I’m also scared of plastic in the microwave, it’s also nice because I usually snack on a couple at a time
If you have a real plant it could be coming from the soil or they could be drain flies. If drain flies put backing soda in the drain and bathroom drain holes, pack as much as you can then pour vinegar down and let it do it’s thing then rinse with hot water.

Put red wine in a cup on your counter with cling wrap over it and punch some holes in it! It will catch all the fruit flies!!!

Im from Newport fruit flys suck but banana in a cup with plastic wrap on top with holes it! It works better than vinegar which I’ve also tried.
@aspynovard boiling water down all sink drains is good for fruit fly banishment but also for the live ones the orange stick traps from Walmart are good as long as you can have them out of the reach of any kids as they are really sticky

I had an issue with fruit flies - I put vinegar, a splash of apple juice, water, and dish soap in a small bowl and let it sit out for a few days! They are attracted to the sugar and get stuck to the mixture because of the dish soap!! Hope it helps😊

Yes we love it! The covers are removable so I don't have to worry too much about mess with the kids cause I can just wash them. We have the Neva and I love it, I will say the cloud couch is a little comfier but SixPenny is less maintenance with fluffing and all that!

cleared off . And I sweep the floors and mop them , just to keep crumbles or anything off the floors.

Fruit flies lay eggs in drains, so check your drains! I like to cover my drains with cups to see if that's where they are coming from. If that where they are coming from Google has some good solutions!
