Thanks for the video. Exactly my problem. Mice in the Northeast are a PITA! It has now happened to me on a 2009 and a 2013 Altima. I was driving the 2013 when the dash suddenly started shaking violently and the fuse then blew. Your description of the glove box removal REALLY made it easy.
Good video. I have the same problem on my 2014. The only issue with your video was the noise in the background. It sounded like it was inside Niagara Falls. Hahaha
I had rats eat my knock sensor wires on my 2006 nissan pathfinder.. I wrapped the new harness in stainless steel wool.. let them bit on that now. Thanks for sharing 👍.
Ha, those damn rodents will get into anything. I had a 370z not too long ago where the rodents got into the inside of the headliner and chewed through the xm radio antenna wires. they also chewed the trim panel retaining posts.
Hi, Nice Video and diagnostic procedure! I was wondering if one can access the "blend door" via this method with the removal of the glove box? I have an intermittent issue with heat/no heat unless I turn up the temp to 90 degrees. Coolant flow not the issue. I think it's the blend door. Some say there are two blend doors? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. (you and I had a nice discussion a few years ago on RUclips about CVT transmissions.) Much respect to you. Thanks, Izzy!
Have the same car .. why would there be a rattling noise coming from passenger vent during high acceleration.. only hear it on freeway.. sounds like leaves .. but no one is able to figure out what’s wrong.. blower motor is perfectly fine.. any idea what it could be ?
This video may be the solution I was looking for. I have a 2007 Nissan Altima 2.5sl and here is my issue. I turn on the heater/ac and nothing happens for a while. I'll drive and then some time later the blower will turn on and it will work fine as long as I keep it on. This happens every time and the time it takes the blower to engage varies each time. Could be 5 minutes, could be 20. Any idea what the cause of that could be?
uses a transistor, scope is best but you could get by with using a test light. to confirm power and ground. Signal would need to be confirmed with a scope or led test light.
What if i have just cold air blowing and no heat whats so ever. Same model car, 5th gen altima 2015. I have been down there and changed the actuator door, or blend door, and when i was in warranty the dealer changed my control assembly.
if none of those repairs fixed your issue. Than you may have an issue with the heater box, possibly a broken blend door inside or broken linkage inside.
i have a 2013 altima and i am not getting enough air in the middle vents of the car. I hear the blower blowing but hardly any air is blowing. I did change the filter and still no air
Good job figuring that out. I’m glad there’s a couple of good mechanics out here.

THANK YOU! This was the issue on my mom’s car $160.00 and problem solved.
Fantastic man. Nothing like doing it your self.

Very helpful thank you. How do you test the resistor and or the motor itsself?

COOL VIDEO THANKS !
pro tip: you can watch series at flixzone. Been using it for watching loads of movies lately.

Hey by any chance did you replace or find out why the a/c stopped working
yes the blower motor was not working, no blower motor no AC.
On my 2013 Altima, the blower will not turn off....
What other problem could it be besides the fuse and the motor itself if the blower motor is not engaging at all
control head.
If the lights are coming up on the control head then it should be ok right. Is there a blower motor resistor on the 2013 altima
@@Khan-ih8qr lights on doesnt mean its good. No resistor.
Dude those fuses are hard to get to
