When I was a low rep (around 20 or something) me and a friend of mine ended up in a match against a 4 stack of Afeera and lost. I was the last one when the team went breaking and i Remember this 4 stack literally toying with me. Constantly GB me without giving me the final heavy, emote spamming that emote where she laughs at you, light parrying and deflecting me without ever punishing me, until eventually they killed me with a light and emote spammed me. After that match i literally spent 2 entire months learning every single move and mix-up of Afeera to the point that i never lost again against her, never ever again.
Worst thing about afeera is that ALL of her armors except for the TYM set force at least 3-5 different materials that makes her look inconsistently messy. And then, all the armors that are less offending force the color aqua in the form of jewels or underclothes as if Ubi forgot to make those locations change with the color pallete
I think you are definitely right, however the guessing part is just the game and every hero does it, its just that the chances are something higher or lower of getting punished
As a new player, who likes Afeera, I can agree with her being hella overloaded. Like let one of her heavy finishers do one of the three things she has right now instead of every single one doing something and maybe nerf her neutral and that would probably already bring her in line with the rest. I didn't even realize her enhanced lights were on both chain hits and yes, just make it the first light only, that's completely fine. The first time I saw her example mix-up in the practice tool, I was a bit shocked, that thing takes up half my screen and takes like 90% of her stamina, but is certainly hard to react to. As for the visuals, who cares? I would even run in base armor with some colors, I think it looks good.

Afeera is literally 4 heroes in one, better than all four. Shinobi, Conqueror, pirate minus guns, and Jorm. Oh yeah, OG Gryphon with his neutral bash? Too strong Ubisoft said. No Neutral bashes... Also Ubisoft "Let's make a 4 in 1 hero with neutral FEINTABLE bash" Fair and balanced.

Thing is, she has good fucking fashion but it’s held back by just that. They’ve been doing a lot of clean armor lately which should hopefully help.
