Hi Red and TJ! I am just blown away as to how well built this unit is! And storage...OMG!…almost unbelievable for someone who hasn’t watched this video! I was particularly surprised as to how wide the camper was allowing tall people to sleep comfortably! Of course I don’t need TOO much room as I’m only 5’9”! Just so many great things about this camper! Thanks so much for sharing!
We went to the North Carolina RV show last weekend and my wife got to see a TAB 400 for the first time. I had seen one at our local nucamp dealer and fell in love. And honestly I have watched almost every RUclips video on the TAB. My wife really loved it and we both agreed that the general build quality of the other products on the market was kind of shocking. The build quality of the TAB is significantly better then most other trailers. And the layout is fantastic. It's actually a nicer trailer in person. Your channel has been really informative and once we get one (after the COVID RV frenzy is over) I will come back to your videos for reference. Thanks!!
Thanks Steven we appreciate your support and agree that the Tab is well built and furthermore the support from nuCamp in the event of an issue is amazing and we feel you are part of the family when you call them. Good luck on the hunt for a tab and feel free to reach out with questions etc.. TJ & Red

Hi Joe! Hope you're able to make your dream come true real soon. We've loved our experience with NuCamp and the freedom rving gives you. Much luck to you. We're glad to hear our videos are helpful. TJ & Red
Hey guys 💜 how awesome is this? It really looks spacious considering its small 🥰 so happy that we've joined your community and excited to continue following your journey 😊
I watched this movie with keen interest. When I am done with my life tenting I will move up into the RV-league and I am following people to do research and learn about this lifestyle. As I have been interested in the Tab caravans before it was really useful to watch and learn from you:) I will follow your adventures on the road with interest:)
We decided a year ago that our tenting days were over and that's when we began researching a variety of travel trailers. We were very impressed with the build quality of nucamp products. We're here to answer any questions you may have about nucamp products and caravanning. Glad to have you along.
We so far think it tows great, we are taking through the Rockies in a few weeks. When we do that I feel I can honestly post a video about how we think it tows in all aspects. We have done some 18k miles, 10k towing and hills in GA, WV, VA etc no issues so far after the Rockies there will be no more "wondering" in our mind how well it tows. We expect it to tow the Tab like a dream, we would actually be more surprised if it doesn’t.
Sound system looks great.. front speakers should have been outside maybe right below ascent lighting just above front window. A subwoofer would also make the experience even better with 5.1 surround sound. These are not expensive system, with in $500 they are available. But value the add to the cabin is enormous !!!
Hey guys, we love your videos. You keep getting us closer to buying a tab 400 boondock. For the 2-way vs 3-way fridge, what are the benefits and cons for each? We really want to make sure we utilize the fridge correctly when we are off the grid. Does it work when you arent on shore power? If so, how long?
I don't believe the new tabs come with the option of the 3 way fridge anymore. How long the two way can run depends on the amount of solar you have to recharge the batteries. Also, it depends on the type of battery you have, lithium last longer. The longest stretch we ever did was 9 days of boondocking with AGM. batteries on 190 watts of solar but we were in full sun the entire time. We had no issues with the fridge staying cold. as far as three way goes, it just gives you the option to run off propane but it's nowhere near as efficient as a 2 way. Hope this helps. Enjoy your rv shopping.
Hi. We bought them on amazon. They're called Simple Houseware Foldable Cloth Storage Box. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07V5BTRCZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Hi! We have a 2018 Tab 400 black and silver so we really enjoy your videos. We have a visor to match and we love the ease of set up, but it really sags and pushes down in windy conditions even though we bought and installed two extra poles and pockets for them, one on each side of the center pole. I see that you have two vertical poles with tie downs. How well do they work for you, are they attached with grommets or something at the top and where did you get them please?
First thanks for you support, we greatly appreciate it! The awning is a Doty Hill design, we ordered it in the XL water resistant variety. The poles are extendable and do go through grommets in the awning. The awning support pole that follows the contour helps with the support in the wind. I use the tie downs all the time and have only had to take it down twice so far in very high winds. It came as a package so we suggest contacting Doty Hill Designs nice family operation they may be able to help with the grommets. www.dotyhilldesigns.com/
This is how you make a video tour. Very nice @Loving Life Hitched Up. Am currently in the market for a teardrop camper. I think I've narrowed my choices down to two, the Nucamp T@B 400 and the Little Guy Max. Have you considered the Little Guy Max? If so, what was the main factor that you chose the T@B 400 over the Little Guy Max? I love the configuration you chose like the placement of the fridge, no microwave, so you can have more storage area. Did you special order the camper to get this configurations? If I will buy the Nucamp, I will do this configuration. I really love to get your opinion between the T@b 400 and the Little Guy Max. Safe travels !
We did do a lot of comparative research and did almost buy a LGM but when we put them side by side the finer parts of construction and attention to details of the Tab were heads and tails above the LGM. The type of wood used, and the finished surfaces were much better in the Tab. Then there was the concern that LGM was just sold to a new owner again, and though it was a good move there was some concern over warranty issues down the road.. What we did learn along the way is that nuCamp stands behind their products and has an amazing reputation for that, and found lots of testimonials to that from folks who own them. Go look at them, look at all the little things edges of wood, thickness, finish. and how things fit together. I think you will see how "not so the same they are". Not that you can't have issues with a Tab it does happen, no doubt, but I believe nuCamps reputation of customer satisfaction will ease that concern. It did for us. These things are not cheap and I want what I pay for to work and last and I think this Tab will do that for us!. Thanks for the support!
I see they fixed the sink by moving the drain right under the faucet….I think these were more in the middle before and drained very slowly… I’m not sure if wood inside the bathroom with the humidity is such a good idea…I need to think about that now.
So far everything has been fine with the wood in our bathroom. Granted we don't always use our shower, we often use the facilities at the campgrounds. Thank you so much for watching.
It is not a 4 season trailer in the sense that it does not have enclosed and heated tanks so the concern is freezing the water lines and water tanks. As far as if you live where it does not freeze you would have no issues. It is insulated in the construction, though I do not have any insulation "R" numbers that I can give you. I has A/C and double pane windows that helps keep it cool.
@@LovingLifeHitchedUp - Great, thanks for the summary. You've answered it very well. I enjoyed watching your channel . Happy travels and many many more miles to you.
Do you work for nuCamp. Its like I am with a sales person. Very detailed information given. Its amazing how much you can fit into a tiny camper. How do you charge the batteries ? Are there solar panels you can put on? is it hard to dump the grey/black water? Great detailed video . Love watching you guys.
We do have solar to charge the batteries that are factory installed on the roof. When plugged into power supply batteries can charge then as well. Dumping tanks is simple enough but can be stinky sometimes LOL
@@KoneTravelVlog there is a hose for dumping the tanks. New video coming out in the morning will show you all the hook up and dump information as well.
The fact that they don’t put an igniter on the stove just bugs me. One of the MOST expensive in the very small, (13-17ft) lightweight, tow behind category should’ve included it. It makes me think, “What else did they totally go cheap on?” Still, this is one of the make/models we like the best, so far. We also like the Ascape, its much more economical, but thisTab400 is pretty awesome (except for that damned missing igniter!) 🤦♀️There are so many things to choose, so far I’m just trying to educate myself on what’s out there before we even begin to shop. Please, if anyone wants to vent about a model to avoid OR if ya have anything good to say about this model or any other super small tow behind, I’d LOVE to hear about it! Thanks you tubers! & Thanks for the great videos!
I will agree not having the igniter is a PITA but what they did not cheap out on is what puts it over the top. 1 piece aluminum roof over aluminum frame, with Azdale sides. Radiant Alde heat and 190w of solar to run the 200 amp hr batteries on a highly efficient 12v fridge, We have 12k miles of towing and 100+ nights of use and have had almost 0 problems so far. Do a small amount of research on quality on some small campers and customer satisfaction on fixes and make an educated purchase that YOU can live with. In the end, you have to pay for it, fit it, and enjoy it. One man's dream is another man's nightmare. Is Tab the best ever? It was the best for us, for what we wanted and needed. Was it cheap, is it perfect, no on both accounts, but we love it. NO CAMPER IS PERFECT unless it is perfect for you! Thank you for your support! We truly appreciate you!
