*My sincere thanks for the English subtitles. My native language is Brazilian Portuguese, but I understand English. However, with the subtitles it is much easier to understand the content. Regarding the video of the actors involved in the film True Grit. I would like to congratulate you on your excellent work. I send you a big hug from Florianópolis, SC, Brazil. Rubens Leffer De Liz Santos. P.S.: I will watch all your videos with subtitles from now on.*
This video is a heartfelt tribute to the legacy of 'True Grit' and its talented cast. Thank you for honoring these remarkable actors and sharing their stories with such respect and detail!
A few actors from this film are still living. Robert Duvall is still living. And there are a few others that are still alive. So not everyone has died.
Well most people alive didn't go through the depression or grow up with 10 siblings during the dustbowl. I worked with a man that did when I was young man and he'd worked for a dollar a day hard labor type jobs.
"True Grit" was the very last film that I saw at Radio City Music Hall, NYC in 1969, that included the "Rocketts" show, with the $3.00 admission! After that, movies were eliminated, but the price still increased! The film was a "quirky" western, especially with John Wayne playing an older man, but went on to earn Wayne the Academy Award for "Besr Actor"! Great ensemble cast! R.I.P. et al!
I looked up Kim Darby she is not dead she still active and on your home screen it says rest in peace and it shows her right leg cut off 77 years old and very much alive so I know John Wayne's died a few of those other ones but not her at least in your bait and switch put up somebody that's really passed away and have r.I.p!!!

I recall Dennis Hopper in the movie 'Giant' from 1956, small but memorable role.

I had a rough time and much was wrong with my early life! I never needed anyone to whine and cry for me!
Spoiler Alert. Everyone in this movie had a hard childhood and a tumultuous adult life. Then died.
Everyone's life is fraught with struggles unless you're comatose.
Sad.

Yeah,kinda melodramatic.

Why is there a lady missing a leg in the thumbnail ?

You didn’t pay attention to the content of the article.
These actors deserve better attention than what they receive from this less than positive content. I give it a thumbs down.
Thank you so much for your video.
Robert Duvall outliving them all.
"Laberf"?
😂
The remake with The Dude in the John Wayne role is also awesome. Between the two I don't have a preference.
One thing that bothered me was a lot of them seem to have problems with their children which for whatever reason i find very sad
nice video thanks

I wouldn't call Chaney a coward. He was certainly despicable but that doesn't make you a coward. 😐
What about the General Sterling Price?
John Fielder is best remembered, (in my opinion), for his role in "12-Angry Men."
Good Lord did anyone live a normal life...?
I think you forgot the mad turkey impersonator from Ned Peppers gang!
How many times does it have to be repeated that True Grit was a 1969 film?
Don't you mean 1,969 🤣
Three or four.
I believe to make sure to differenterate from the Jeff Bridges remake would possibly make sense!
Whoever puts these stories on RUclips must have a thing for cut-off limbs.
I bet this death announcement is false too
Terrible A.I. pronunciations and years expressed with commas? 2,016? I'm out.
I am tired to hear you talk down about every one you talk about. You should share their good points instead of the bad. You are a glass half full.
Scrape away the BS, give the facts
Glenn Cambell should have stuck to singing. He stunk up the screen.
Fix your AI !!!!
AI voice sucks.
I hate these AI narrations .
