    Fun fact: That microphone on the desk is a practical mic. They still record audio off of it. Occasionally someone will bump into it and you hear the impact.

    Being able to build a company from scratch to the point where you can start diverting your attention to other creative projects while not letting the company take a hit is not only impressive but idealy the goal no? Rhett and Link deserve everything they achieve

    Dang, and there’s so much more. Like Rhett and Link are the reason why the Zebra was a symbol for LMFAO, and they appeared in the Sorry for the Party Rockin’ music video. Jasen Siegel has likened watching them, to the comfort he had in watching Mr. Rogers. And Post Malone is so into GMM, he always stays for the More video and calls the cast/crew by name.

    I discovered Rhett and Link when I was around 12 years old I believe, maybe 13. At this point I don’t even remember what got me hooked, i think it was either the I’m on vacation or the belly button song music videos, but there has been no other creator to steal my attention more than mythical.
    I always come back, even if I get busy and miss a few weeks of content, I will always try to catch up. They can always cheer me up when I’m down, and I frequently have laughing fits over their videos.
    It’s truly amazing what they have accomplished, and I fully recognize that they have a great team to help them with everything as well!!

    By the way, in most episodes, the middle microphone actually records. But they do have Lavalier mics and there is sometimes a boom mic.
    They tend to record episodes in between 1 month and 2 weeks in advance, so they have a caché of episodes to move around, but they plan content to be released weekly, which means that if one episode is not going to come out, they have to analyze if they also scrap the whole week.

I didnt "get" what good mythical morning was supposed to be. I think it was the "mythical" part of the name that confused me, and even now after watching tons of their content, I still dont get that part lol. About 6 months ago I started watching them and was hooked. Now I watch multiple videos every day. Feel kind of lucky, I still have a ton of new content, to me, to watch for a long time to come. • @MrGamis
    @MrGamis Год назад

    Quick little correction I want to make, at 5:47 Stanz makes a comment about how "this wouldn't work" referring to Rhett and Link's sketch comedy/musicals and how it's essentially not RUclips/algorithm friendly.
    While this statement may be valid for THIS specific content, sketch comedy/musicals is still a behemoth on RUclips... it's just taken a different form and is targeted towards a specific audience. We've all seen them, we all love them, THE AMAZING ADVENTURES OF SPIDERMAN AND ELSE: FROZONE ESCAPED?!? Just kidding... sort of. But those types of videos, essentially "kid friendly" content, is the evolved form of sketch form content. It hasn't gone away and is most definitely successful (one of those Spiderman Elsa videos that was posted last year had over 100 million views. Literally Mr Beast level success). Theres hundreds of channels in multiple languages that do sketch "comedy"/musicals and are MASSIVE. Its just, yeah, different audience and different vibe.
    But, I'll make a maybe hot take, and I will say that sketch comedy is still existing and doing well today for an older audience. It may have ended, but the Dream SMP is essentially a sketched out story. While it was primarily streamed, there are hundreds of thousands of videos that have taken clips from those streams and have posted them and gotten MILLIONS of views. The Dream SMP inspired a long list of other MC creators to make "sketch" content, the largest (and the one that hits the trending tab the most) is Aphmau. Beyond Minecraft, there are GTA RP servers that follow sketches, and there are even some surviving sketch comedians, like Daniel Thrasher (I will admit he's the only one off the top of my head but I went into the trending tab and found 2 others in "Now" and several in "Gaming") that are still successful.
    So while it may not be as permeable into the algorithm as the current MrBeast/React/I Did A Thing meta, sketch type content is still successful and can be found without much effort.
