Audrey is so beautiful and cute. I watched Amelie so many times I can't count. First time i saw the movie i was transported to another realm in time and space. Only the French could make such a beautiful movie and pull it off. It is fast moving at the beginning when narrated and so the next thing you know she is leaving for the Cafes of paris to begin her working life as a waitress and it settles down perfectly but you are so into the film you forget you are watching a movie because it has captivated you completely. Never been so in awe of a movie before and the last time I was so swept downstream without noticing was when I read Tarka The Otter and then the incomparable Watership Down Novel Watership down written by Richard Adams as a child whilst bunking off school back in the day. If you missed the movie I urge you to get it for rent or buy from U-tube or better get a hard copy. It's worth every penny because I watched it many many time since each time it takes over my mind and steals my heart. Audrey is perfectly cast and her innocents is wonderful and she really is Amelie in so many ways. My favorite scenes is when se is crying in the kitchen at the end and when she meets the people she wants to help in their lives. The movie is quirky and so gorgeous to see with inanimate characters popping up like the four people in a picture talking to Amelie about what to about questions she has concerning love. The story isso imaginative and funny at every turn and we see ourselves in her as we all do the funniest thing so often if we admit it to ourselves. A wonderful ending had me in tears for two reasons one being I didn't want to see such a graceful and beautiful girl left heartbroken and tears of relief and joy when she finally finds the courage to open up her heart at the right time. I will probably find so much enjoyment in a film ever again nor will I ever go channel hopping again and find such a wonderful treasure again just by potluck. So again if you haven't seen this movie just rent it and make sure you won't be disturbed by the phone or visitors whilst the movie is on.I couldn't stop thinking about this movie for days and weeks afterwards because of the after effect and warm glo it left me with. I still rewatch it many yrs later because it is just so remarkable. Sorry for long comment but I can't stop once I start and I just want everyone to see it so they know what I know:)
Emotionally, the closest movie to Amelie for me has been Short Term 12, though the theme is abuse and there’s some friggin devastating scenes (not of abuse but its aftermath). It’s a rollercoaster.
i love her personality. I created a concert music station on apple music and stumbled on her and her movie while listening to La valse d'Amelie one of the songs from her movie soundtrack Amelie
Elle est petite et très belle. j'aimé son travail dans 'DE VRAI MESONGES" . Elle étair excellente. E la personage de sa mère aussi. Magnifique. Merci poutout.
Marion Cotillard ** Except that Marion is not natural when she is interviewed in English. She acts American so she completely denies herself as French. I know other nationalities do this too. Audrey is truly authentic and therefore truly French.
Yes it must have been hard to make an enteraining show with someone who can't keep a conversation up naturally. The barrier of language is lovely in the first place but it also quickly gets awkward after that
@@salamander981 it's a difficult language don't give it up :) I hope you'll visit the entire France it's a beautiful country. Paris is amazing but the rest is also really beautiful
Most English speaking people struggle with British accents especially this guy because to foreign English speakers he sounds like an accent from the Victorian era from the slums .
Yeah... What is so much to miss with no beans? I wanted to see Audrey, we two are look alike in some way. And it is my first time when I see this... Ross show. 2013 interview? Since when it is this show?
@@u235u235u235 I heard it in this video : ruclips.net/video/1oQr2hiH2OA/видео.html. But it's in french, sorry! However, if you're still interested, it's explained around the fourth minute and I think that you can understand that Hali ho is right only by watching the video.
@@chloé_ozier Thank you for the link. But in the video, Jean-Pierre Jeunet explains how he uses wide angle lenses (mostly 20mm focal length for close-up shots of faces) that tend to enhance the features of a face (smile, eyes). So Amélie's features are not enhanced digitally, only by the perspective given by the chosen lens.
It's only because of the language barrier. She said it herself, her English is not very good. You can try watch a french interview with captions if this is too awkward.
its really lacking in someone's character when you have to resort to inflammatory disparaging language, when their is no justification for it what so ever quite frankly,, opinions are subjective and sometimes lacking in judgement and awareness to what is staring you in the face, which is a intelligent woman that speaks perfect English
more than lovely. what a wonderful personality Audrey has. very natural and encapsulating. x
Her reaction on baked beans is hilarious. She is a gem!! I love her
