One of my favorite Queen songs off of "A Night at the Opera". I was fortunate enough to get to hear this, albiet a small segment of it, when I saw them on the opening leg of the US tour for the "Game" album at Madison Square Garden in September 1980. As I understand it was the onlt time they played it during that tour.
He smiled on that part that made me thinking if he thought 'wow that sound... I did it even higher than that with my voice back in the day.' I don't know if he is still able to hit a Note Like A5 because here he also didn't do it
Really shocking that this beautiful gathering happened in Ukraine, while we now know whats happening over there "Write your letters in the sand, for the day i take your hand, in the land that our grandchildren knew. I really must cry for this.
This song is the most rememberable to me from that performance. I remember my feelings when I couldn't believe that I was just a few dozens meters from the Legends Brian and Roger, and the whole huge Kharkiv square singing this awesome song. Kharkiv is bleeding now as well as the rest of Ukraine... But we will stand! And Kharkiv will listen to beautiful music again instead of air raid sirens and missiles explosions sound.
Slava Ukraini. My sister in law is in Odesa, and we have been getting the daily reports for almost two years. But nothing like Kharkiv. May this nightmare end, as soon as possible, with justice.
I've heard this song so often, this version with this choir is exceptional. Хорошая песня, мне нравится. Me gusta esta cancion y no puedo parar en escucharlo. Ich schäme mich, das ich russisches Gas brauche, damit ich es hier zuhause warm habe...
Still perform this song at all my gigs (local small time bars). People love it. GOD BLESS UKRAINE. they sing in English quite well and definitely know the words!!!
Who would have thought things could go from bad to worse. What a terrible terrible change of fortune for the poor people involved. Ukraine is at war too.
and think that like 15 years ago the ukraninans was enjoying this and now they are in a ugly war. be string ukranians!!! soon you will enjoy thinks like this. just like before this stupid war
How the joy of life in once beautiful Ukraine has fleeted. But that's what happens when a country features sex trafficking and bioweapons labs in place of folk-rock concerts.
What a lovely moment. God bless Ukraine.
こんな近くでおふたりを見れるなんて…😭😭
I lived in Ukraine from 2010 until 2012 and am so mad that I didn't know about this show becuause I would have 100% been there.
Given the current situation in Ukraine this sadly, is even more inspiring… thank you Queen for the spiritual support god bless all Ukrainians!
and all russian and ukrainian soliders too, who are also victims of this fucking war, who comited nothing
Wow, I have not heard this song for maybe 50 years, and only now realized how beautiful it is.

Rogers falsetto replaced by acordeon. Cool:D
He smiled on that part that made me thinking if he thought 'wow that sound... I did it even higher than that with my voice back in the day.' I don't know if he is still able to hit a Note Like A5 because here he also didn't do it
3:16 roger be like “damn I wish I could still do that..”
Actually he can, if you focus on the voices, you will hear very similar high voice, i think its rogers voice, my opinion (on 2:49)

Really shocking that this beautiful gathering happened in Ukraine, while we now know whats happening over there "Write your letters in the sand, for the day i take your hand, in the land that our grandchildren knew. I really must cry for this.
A year later and I am crying at the same lyric. My sister in law is still there.

Роджер не словил бубен в конце)
So sad think the mess theses people are in now, some of them likely dead, in a needless stupid war.
Paix pour l hukraine 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Who would have thought things could go from bad to worse. What a terrible terrible change of fortune for the poor people involved. Ukraine is at war too.
half of queen and no paul rodgers is definitely not "queen + paul rodgers"
it's in an eastern european country, in the ukraine.

Paul Rogers???
Paul Rodgers was a leading vocal at this performance for the songs which Freddie sang. But the '39 has been always performed by Brian May.
At the end Roger😅
