My Grandfather had a '69 Fleetwood Brougham, and as my Grandparents lived across the street, I walked past that car every time I visited, and rode in the back when he took me on various errands. The car is absolutely unforgettable, and I can remember most of the features. The footrests certainly made an impression, but I would never be tall enough to reach them for comfortable use. My sister remembers how gigantic it was, and playing in the back on the floor as a kid. Reading lamps, the power aerial, the power door locks (the biggest luxury convenience that my parents had at that time were then rather uncommon electric windows). I actually preferred the look of his previous '65, but still not a car to ignore! The seats were simply massive. If you look through the catalog, these have a mind-boggling choice of interior fabrics / cloth / leather. His was a pinstripe cloth, which would be my choice due to the unfussy look, and that leather doesn't have the grip and silence of cloth. Cadillac models still really were Standard of the World (or at least one of a handful), and rather bespoke at least compared to more recent years when there are options packages and a limited range of colors and interior options. I can see that no two Fleetwoods might be a like in specs.
Thank you for sharing this bit of your past with us. It's crazy to think of how unique you could make you Cadillac and now you can basically choose from several colors for exterior and interior. Do you think Cadillac will ever return to a household name known for luxury and prestige? Or is the name too tarnished at this point?
‘69. The ONLY year they had those lantern stop lights in the back which were awesome.

You know, I'm glad to hear you say that. I'm starting to see your perspective over mine, which is that I have always preferred the taillights on the '70 model. Which do you like better?
Back then there were less cars on the road too. Makes fitting cars this big on the road easier too. Nowadays you'd have to wait for the six Priuss (Priuses? Priuss? Prii?) to pass before merging.
If memory serves right back in 2021 it went for about $10k.

@@JustDriven So, could it be possible to pick one up like this for $5,000 to $7,500 if you get lucky at the auction? I believe you quoted that price range in the video. I'm hoping your original price range would be fairly normal or average with a car of this quality. I would love to know that I can easily afford one of these cars and have the extra money to fix whatever needs fixing.
This video was filmed back in 2021. Things have changed since then so it's tough to say what you could get one for now without us doing a dive into the market on these. You can always just keep an eye on the auctions for one and try your luck!
Thank you for this great presentation. In fact it’s a very nice vehicle, but regardless of the Cadillac itself, i would say that, as a car guy, you seem very trustworthy and i certainly wouldn’t mind biding a very high price, just by your honesty and by your word. As a commentator, you do inspire a tremendous great deal of confidence in people, so keep on the good work, « Young Man ». Lol! Johnny, Montréal, Canada.
I wish someone would donate a beautiful Cadillac like that to me. That is sweet.
Start your own charity 😄.
So Fresh So Clean 1969 Fleetwood Brougham Cadillac ⭐💰👑💯
Love the dog cam, such a clever and charming aspect to the vid.

If anyone has one of these cars they want to donate. I’ll take it. These are the best Cadillacs ever.

'77 has an also-one-year throwback lantern style tail light
@@SnepperStepTV Hey Snepper: I think the '77 Cadillac looked cheap with those taillights. The '78 looked much better.
@@SnepperStepTV Yes I see that.I loved those!!! In the '70 i think that was the most plain boring break light design
That’s when America made great cars. Now it’s all over for the once great American auto industry.
All gone down the toilet.
Was that a Ford E350? That thing is nice, that 69 is gorgeous too!
We have a full breakdown of the Chinook in our video library if you want to check it out! Thanks for watching!
Boxers are the Best! 🥰
Right? We couldn't agree more!
Never heard of a Fleetwood Donation , did they make a Calais bread line edition to?
This Cadillac was donated to a local charity.
@ 0:46 what car trailer is that?
Good eye, that's a Futura Trailer. Its primary use is Alex's drift cars.
@@JustDriven Thank You, I'm in the market for a trailer to haul cars and that looks like it is easy to load a car on and it sits low...
It lowers to drive the vehicle onto the trailer than with a remote raises back up. Very convenient.
That thing is in GREAT condition. It is a mile long. How much did it go for?
It really is nearly a mile long! haha... we don't recall what it sold for. It was years ago now.
@@JustDriven More ocean liner, than car.
🤣
This car won't fit in a normal garage, people from that era really enjoy the road and travel

@@JustDriven ...and also just about any car on the USA roads was American, and I wish those days come back 70's
A Tank
Please take the dog out of the car!
Already did!
I know, it sucks how these beautiful cars always fall into the wrong hands.
Tell me something, JD, could I get this car for $7,500 in the auction?
It's already sold, sorry.
@@JustDriven Do you know what it sold for or approximately? I'm trying to get an idea of what I might expect in a classic car market.
If memory serves right back in 2021 it went for about $10k.

Most irritating video.
Sorry you didn't enjoy watching this video. Is there something you could suggest we do differently?
What a shame
