Since in the novel it's not censored that Wuxian and Wangji are a romantic couple it's clear. The sleeve was in the style that Wangji wears and we know his sin is being in love with Wei. Also "bloodied blades are your reprieve" means that they tolerate them being together and say nothing to Wangji because he is an outstanding cultivator.

I can’t recall how many times I cried but almost every moment when Wuxian and Lan Zhan share together with. I wouldn’t give a name their relationship but it’s a deep bond they are sharing souls each other even without words, their expressions do communicate.
