hi David, thanks for the tip. haven't used my pencil from last one month but it is getting charged, but when I tried to write some lyrics today it did not wake up at all and almost dead, when I tried it to connect it was not detecting and couldn't connect and I tired pair and an unpair of Bluetooth did not work , reset the ipad , did not work, then I saw your video and tried with the charging wire it immediately detected and got connected. My Ipad pencil came to life again.

I think my pencil might have come from the same Bach’s as I got mine on Christmas when this was uploaded maybe the receivers got damaged on the planes or freighters on the way to stores
Any piece of copper wire will work. I have done this with a piece of speaker wire and a USB charger wire. Just wrap a coil around the length of the pencil. Good luck!
This didn’t work for me, mainly because I couldn’t find any wire like David’s in the video. But what worked for me was…. I took of the case on my iPad then out of nowhere my Apple Pencil is on. For some reason it connected better when my case was off. I guess the case was messing up the connection.
I have seen that some cases are too thick. You would think that the designers would be aware of the issue, but trying with the case removed is definitely a good strategy.
My pencil is charged and recognized once its on the magnet but it doesn’t stay connected on bluetooth once its removed from the magnet. I’m assuming it should be any ideas ?
That is a new one. If your iPad has a case, try removing the case. Beyond that, I'm not sure why it would only be connected when in contact with the magnet. Good luck, and let us know if you figure it out!
*Another possible solution* My pencil was not charging and wasn’t connecting and did not show in my Bluetooth settings. I tried a lot of things without success. I took off the case on my iPad and it connected to the pencil right away. I’ve had this case as long as the iPad and pencil but it seems the charge was so low on the pencil it needed direct contact with the charging strip to connect. Hopefully that is helpful to someone! 😊

It worked!!!!!!!!!!! I used a small paper clip. And wrapped it around. I connected and showed that it was dead. I let it charge to 6% then tried to use it and it worked. Still charging now.
Any old electrical wire will work. You can even use the wire on a USB charger. As long as it conducts electricity, any wire will do the trick, as long as you are having the problem that this trick solves!
My pencil was not working for 2 weeks. I tried everything and this and it did not work!!!! So… I grabbed the damn thing and dropped it a couple of times and it finally woke up and is now charging!

If "tap to connect" appears and there is no bluetooth showed up, then try to push pen trought to ipad. Some how mine connected for 1-2 seconds and disappeared again. Than i bend the pencil gently. Now it works amazingly. I think some internal fault diseppeared by bending. Be careful to be gentle

I was having the same problem for one day after that i used my pencil on my friend ipad and it was working. So restart my ipad and every thing was 100% fine. Restart ur ipad maybe this will solve ur problem. Good luck.

this didnt work for me and i thought my pencil was gone forever but i tried connecting it a few days later and it worked. I guess what happened is I let the battery drain all the way out and then that reset it enough to make a new bluetooth signal. that worked for me, give it a try!

@@dirkvangrotel1568hey, found it! Honestly I got in contact with the Apple Support team and talked to an officer, he told me to restart the Ipad with the sound buttons while keeping the pencil attached to the Ipad and it worked for me. I hope you get good results too!

@@SmileyAnushka I looked for some reasons why this happens and I found out something. I can’t remember where but I found the information that batteries that are used in Apple Pencil don’t last forever’ any battery last forever. Even if you charge it. So the Apple Pencil starts not working so well (it doesn’t reorganize the double tap, it makes some random movies on the screen when you are writing and so on …)and to avoid it Apple pull a configuration in the pain that after one year it stops working, in these way apple products don’t look like “wasted” or with a bad quality. I sent my Pencil to the market where I bought it (I bought it with guaranty ) and they ll probably send me a new one :D)
You are wrong. While this doesn't work for everyone, it definitely has helped many people. I promise you that it worked for me, which is why I am sharing the information.
Even if it is BS? I still appreciate another "step" with the thoughts of thinking it "could" work. Everything apple told me to do hasn't worked so far, so it doesn't hurt to do a little simple wrap around with a wire and see it's not working. That shouldn't even waste 10 minutes of time.

You shouldn't need to do this very often. Just as a last resort if it won't pair.

It would need to conduct electricity, so silver might be the best choice, if you don't have a wire handy.
You have to have the pro for the 2nd gen pen to work.

@@dirkvangrotel1568hey, found it! Honestly I got in contact with the Apple Support team and talked to an officer, he told me to restart the Ipad with the sound buttons while keeping the pencil attached to the Ipad and it worked for me. I hope you get good results too!

@@lucifermorningstar510 Yess, connect ur pencil to ur ipad and then restart it with the sound buttons while the pen is still on it. It should be back. Try to keep your ipad charged enough to avoid this problem again

@@joud4922 I'm trying it right now and it doesn't look like it will work :/ my Ipad pro reoganize the pencil 2 (when i put it on the right side of the ipad "click here to connect pencil") but when i click to conect the bluetooth turns on and can not find the pencil.
When i do the same thing with bluetooth on it doesn't show the pencil image but shows a pop up "Apple Pencil"

@@SmileyAnushka I looked for some reasons why this happens and I found out something. I can’t remember where but I found the information that batteries that are used in Apple Pencil don’t last forever’ any battery last forever. Even if you charge it. So the Apple Pencil starts not working so well (it doesn’t reorganize the double tap, it makes some random movies on the screen when you are writing and so on …)and to avoid it Apple pull a configuration in the pain that after one year it stops working, in these way apple products don’t look like “wasted” or with a bad quality. I sent my Pencil to the market where I bought it (I bought it with guaranty ) and they ll probably send me a new one :D)

You are wrong. While this doesn't work for everyone, it definitely has helped many people. I promise you that it worked for me, which is why I am sharing the information.
Even if it is BS? I still appreciate another "step" with the thoughts of thinking it "could" work. Everything apple told me to do hasn't worked so far, so it doesn't hurt to do a little simple wrap around with a wire and see it's not working. That shouldn't even waste 10 minutes of time.

If it will pair, but it won't charge, it might be that the battery is drained beyond repair. Good luck solving your issue!
Hello, I just have the same problem. Did you manage to solve it?... I recently updated to ipadsIOS 17.2 and it stopped recognizing my pencil. I can't find it on bluetooth
i tried everything. Used aluminum wire. Used copper wre. Stripped of plastic and used bare copper wire. Nthing. Just nothing

my pencil also doesn't connect: there is a pop up on the screen "Apple Pencil" which is disappearing after 10-20 seconds and that's all. nothing else made it work
