- Let's do some hand painting, rhinestone placement, and cateye as well as acrylic application today! September is a big wedding month, and I wanted to show some love to the nontraditional beauties out there who are getting married or celebrating. There isn't much talking in this one, but I did put information in text throughout the video, but like always, if you have any questions about anything, just let me know.
Please let me know what you think of today's video or if you have any tips, tricks, or things you'd like to see or have me try down in the comments. I love trying new things and learning what works for other people! I respond to all comments also!
I will leave what products I used linked below if any of you want to check anything out. I used makartts cover acrylic powder that I showed in one of my last hauls, and I actually really loved this powder. I've heard mixed things about it, but I definitely am glad I have it. I also am still using the Born Pretty super topcoat and love it and highly recommend it. I've purchased 3 more to have as backups so I don't run out. Also, I used a 5mm liner brush in this video for the nail art, not a 3mm. I am absolutely loving liquid layers' products as well. They are phenomenal quality 3d printed nail products. I recommend checking them out and supporting a small business. Their press on nail stands are incredible, and so is the handrest. I just ordered the efile holder as well as another press on stand. They are very reasonably priced, and I don't think you will be disappointed.

I just want to say I loved this set, I’ve been wanting to have a similar effect to what you did with the the black nails with a red glow, the only way I could achieve it was way too much messing around, and then I watched you do it here in three simple steps. That red cat eye effect is stunning. This is completely unrelated but I thought I’d let you know that I got my born pretty magician gel. It’s the easiest stamping gel I’ve ever used. It’s fantastic, stamp;rub on chrome, done.

I've gotten better but it could be worse right. My aunt when she hears me you should hear her " Oh Beth the Blessed Virgin is in heaven crying PLEASE watch your gob". When she get a couple of pints of Guinness into her she's ten times worse than I could ever be. We had to record her one night so she couldn't deny it. She said it's the divel drink and no I didn't spell it wrong that's how she says devil lol 😆

That red is beyond gorgeous...sadly inhave pernicious anemia and my nails are so fragile i can't use gel...and just can't get that depth of beauty with normal polish xx

Ach, I'm sad that your daughter had to deal with a bad set of nails - it's so frustrating when they over-file and ruin your nails! I had that done exactly once - my thin nails weren't having it. Never went back! I did eventually find an awesome tech who was gentle and good, and I went to her whenever I wanted fancy nails. She had this super cozy shop with a lay-z-boy chair for pedicures. :D She retired nearly 10 years ago, unfortunately, and that's a big reason I learned to do my own. Still, fun to watch you do the manicure on someone else! Also, I absolutely love her rings - I wear rings on pointer, middle, and ring fingers of both hands, also silver. I so love this effect, and the magnet you used was cool - was that Amazon perchance? Were you splotching the red color to get that layered look, or was that the effect of the gradient brush? Silver first, then red - had a lot of depth! If you had the crazy top you could have turned the rosary into 3D drops which would have been cool. Thinking of you lots and sending love!! ❤
That's a great idea about doing the rosary 3d! Your tech sounds like she was amazing. It's always sad when amazing people like that retire, and I would have started doing my own after that, too. I about smacked Adaline when I saw her nails, lol. But it was one of those things where she didn't have time, and I was busy, and her husband paid for her to get them done, so I understand. I'm just pissed that it happened and that some people don't put more care into things like that. I've been thinking about you tons too, I hope everything is going good with you, babe. Love you tons! That is actually a mix of 2 jelly polishes that were at the bottom of the bottles that I poured into an old empty bottle. DND red jelly and beetles red jelly lol. When you went in with the red jelly polish I gasped. Didn’t expect that. Absolutely STUNNING. What gel did you use? (The red jelly) I was reading the comments on the screen and looked for it so if it’s there I’m sorry! I went back too so I hope you didn’t put it and I’m being annoying! 😂
That red is a mix of 2 that were low, and I mixed them together in an old bottle, lol. I'm pretty sure it's beetles, red jelly, and Dnd red jelly. Both of those colors are beautiful red jellies! I actually need to get the dnd red jelly again. I think I'm going to make my own with a top coat and resin colorant. Hopefully, I can get it to be that bloor red color, lol. You are awesome, Jen! The nail salon always hurt me. I have very thin nails and every time I went they would burn me with the nail bit and my nails would always lift 2 to 3 weeks in. Since I have been doing my own nail, I have never hurt myself and I have never had a nail lift. I have broke one, but that isn't the same. I am so far from being a professional...more like a girly tom-boy who loves having nails. I just don't understand how the professionals can't make my nails to last, but I can.

What do you think of the Chaune Legend acrylic brush? It looks high quality.
Honestly, at first, I was having a hard time with the bristles sticking into any acrylic powder I used with it, so I crimped it and then conditioned the bristles, and it's better now, and I really like it.
I was worried that I had wasted my money, but I I'm glad I didn't get frustrated and put the time into conditioning it and making it work for me for sure. I do loveee the handle on it too.

@SUGARDECLIPSENails yes exactly. And I'm so surprised she didn't smack someone because she's the type that usually says something. She got an ear full from me, lol. She was in a rush one day and I was busy and she's been taking care of my nephew so her space has turned into his space and then her husband had paid for her to get her nails and lashes done and ended up with that, and they fell off!
