What is a Sentence?
A sentence is a group of words and it is having three important characteristics.
1. It expresses a complete thought or idea.
2. Sentence must contain a subject and a verb.
3. Meaning of any sentence may be different.
Types of Sentences based on different meaning:
1. Assertive/Declarative Sentence:
Declarative Sentence tells information about anything and they end with a period.
2. Interrogative Sentence:
Interrogative Sentence asks a question. They end with a question mark.
3. Imperative Sentence:
An imperative sentence gives command or ask for request.
4. Optative Sentence:
The sentence with which we express our desires, wishes, blessings, curse, prayers etc. is called Optative Sentence.
