I was the guy who was asking for release actually, lol... I remember this like it was yesterday. When the lights went down my buddy and I, just like everyone sitting seated it seemed, rushed past security and were pushing our way forward to the stage, hardly remembered till after the show that release was being played. But we had no idea where we were in the crowd at that time, but we look up and I was standing second right in the middle my friends right behind me. This guy tries to let someone in and I just swooped it. Now I'm standing dead center in the front with the rail against my chest. Can't tell you how many times I got kicked by a boot or had my body pressed into the railing by someone who had stage dived and was being let off in the area in the front where security was. The crowd was so compacted and pressed together we were all moving as one sea of people. I remember Eddie gave his bottle of wine to someone a few spots over from me, and when he leaned in and asked me, what do you want to hear? I started yelling for release, and the few people around me started yelling the same thing. I was shocked he was saying that was the first song they played, lol. I regretted not requesting Black after the fact. Still makes me chuckle to this day.
